I’ve had this app for years and it has always worked flawlessly. It’s rare that an app has no BS and is just exactly what you want. I just recently had to repurchase it because my apple account, and gladly did so.

Outstanding product and outstanding support
I’ve been a subscriber to BuildCalc for many years, maybe as many as 15 but I honestly can’t remember. The software and app performs as it should but the advanced features is what sets this product apart. It’s difficult to put into words as there are too many to list. If I’m performing a calculation that I haven’t completed in a long time or if it’s a new calculation I’ve never attempted the app/software has a function that allows you to hold down any desired key and it will open a background to explain the function and its uses. When this doesn’t work I have reached out on a few occasions and I was always answered promptly with a solution to my problem. I recently found a bug (as all apps have) and the owner reached out for a meeting in which we shared screens and attempted to replicate the problem. This shows the amount of buy-in the company has in their product and customer service as well as their desire to continue to be THE platform for job site calculations.

I purchased build calc several years ago, it is something I feel every Carpenter should have in their pocket.
I love the blueprint features it offers. It makes clear prints to send easy.
Also. I originally purchased this on my Samsung, and transferred to iPhone over the holidays. I sent an email with my recipes to Ben, an within 5 mins I was sent back a code.

Won't let be calculate irregular hip
When I try to change any value for switch pitch roof, it automatically erasers whatever I type to make it fit its prefilled other values.

I rarely write reviews but after using this app for years and recommending it to someone today I felt the need to. I’ve been a professional carpenter for 34 years now and mainly build high end decks. As others have said, the stair function is amazing. What I’ve been most grateful throughout the years though is the baluster function.

Literally the best app on my phone
This actually mite be my first review of an app. I have had this app more than a few years now. I’m in the pipe trades and now work for myself welding and fabrication. I use this app all day and every day and it has not let me down once. This app has paid for itself 10fold. And when I could not figure something out I emailed the creator and they where very prompt and helpful. After talking with them I found that all I had to do was read a little bit and would not even had to reach out in the first place.the app is very well built with very good instructions. I always get asked what app is that. And my response it’s the only one you will ever need. If you are in the building trades save yourself some headaches, it’s a win win.

Better than CM Pro!
Switched to iOS and can no longer use the other companies calculator without paying a subscription. I will not pay for greed, however I will pay for a great product. And this blows the other company out of the water. They kept the same great layout but added the most tasteful features. My favorite is long press for info on that function. Great! No more going through the menu to figure out how to do an irregular calculation!

Consistently Awesome
I’ve been using this app for years. Love and was so grateful to not carry another calculator in my pouch. I use this more than any other calculator app. After reading reviews it seems like it’s one dude running the show. Even more impressive. Good job bro. Thank you for making my life easier.

I have had this app on every device. From android to Apple. Across many devices. Worth the money if your in the building trade. Easy to use and exact numbers.
I really like it.
The other construction calc company got greedy and now requires an annual subscription so I switched. This app blows the other construction calc. out of the water. This prints stair cut angles in ready to build blueprint format, Amazing!

App saves my pre-cut set dimensions like 11 ¼ treads, preferred risers height, tread and riser thickness etc which saves a lot of time.
One thing to be careful about is the app doesn’t have a refresh button. So if a change my rise I need to set run to 0 to refresh

Works well, but doesn’t always update drawings
Dig the app and saves a lot of time. It did cost me $50 on a stringer I was cutting. Built exactly to the plans it generated, but they were off. Discovered it when i went to hang the first one. Went back to the main menu in the app then back to the stair calculator, and the drawing updated and added the 4 inches I was out to the drawing.
