Communication is Awful, Don’t Waste Your Time
I learned of this study after doing genetic testing while proceeding to go through infertility treatment (this was end of July). I enjoy participating in studies as I usually learn a lot about them. I spoke to one representative, Emma K, and proceeded to enroll (end of August/ August 24th; delayed only because I was on vacation then got COVID).
The study requires information be shared with an Oura Ring, which I was told I’d be in communication with somebody after I filled out the paperwork in the app to receive the Oura ring at no cost. Well I did that, and never heard anything more. I proceeded to do a few tasks in the app, still nothing. I proceeded to email Emma and the study’s email address and message their Facebook page - nothing. I’ve called and left voicemails for Emma on the number we’ve spoken on before - nothing. I’ve been trying to get in touch with somebody for a month now. They used to be incredibly responsive to get me enrolled, but now there’s nothing.
I’m at the point of saying screw it. If they’re unable to communicate with study participants, then clearly this is not a well managed study. I’d recommend at this time to steer clear of this study. If something miraculously changes soon, perhaps I’ll update this app. But at the point in my infertility treatment, I’m not going to be able to participate in this study likely in a few weeks.
