About
Bunker records a round of golf shot by shot.
Each hole is drawn rather than photographed. Fairway, rough, bunkers, water, the tee boxes and the green, turned so the hole runs the way you are standing on it. It stays sharp at any zoom, it never goes out of date, and it works with no signal, which is most of a round.
You tap in each shot where the ball finished. Bunker measures the carry, reads the lie off the map, and tells you what is left to the pin. Mark where the cup is cut that morning and every distance follows from it.
Afterwards: putts, fairways hit, greens in regulation, your longest drive, and your longest putt in feet. Birdies get a circle and eagles two rings, the way you
would mark a paper card. Best scores are kept separately over nine holes and eighteen, because those are different feats.
A nine is a round, not half of one. Start the front, the back, or all eighteen, and the card knows which holes it covers.
A round played without your phone can be typed in afterwards and sits alongside everything else, stats and all. Any round can be exported as a scorecard image and sent to whoever you were playing with.
Post a round and the friends you have accepted can see it, react to it, and say something about it. Nothing you record is visible to anybody until you post it,
and a friendship only exists once you have both agreed to it. You can block anyone, and they are not told.
Everything is stored on the phone and works or rounds are backed up, so a new phone starts where the old one left off. A round, or your
whole account, can be deleted from inside the
Bunker asks for no location permission and uses tap. Courses in Denver, Washington DC, Maryland and Bunker
only follows a round at one of those. The current list is on the support page, and it grows one course at a time.
