Annoying AI Art Cluttering the App
The app itself is okay I guess. I just wish it wasn’t heavily reliant on subscriptions in order to utilize it. I really like how to profiles are set up, but it is nearly impossible to get a match. The app is also filled with AI art which is very clunky and hard to look at. I wish the creator just paid real artists or didn’t include images at all.

I was loving the app until I got a roommate request on it and it gave me no option to accept or deny it and now I can no longer message people because that won’t go away
school isn’t an option
the app seems really cool, a friend showed it to me… the app doesn’t have my school :(

No seriously. This entire app feels generated. From the icons, to the clunky buttons parts, and the setup. I saw every student on this app ( from my university ) in one ten minute sitting. Like I spent more time setting up than going through people.
very buggy doesnt work
showed people from different schools even though i put where i was going and the building, asked me for information i already filled out with the same number, wouldn’t take my id to verify my profile, and now the app refuses to open and just shows me the pillow logo
Won’t Load
I made a profile on Bunky, however once I closed the app and tried to reopen it the screen was frozen on the page with the purple pillow. I tried restarting my phone, deleting the app, and getting more storage but none of that seemed to work and the app still would not open to the main page. Then once I tried to submit an inquiry online it said it looked like spam and would not submit. Super sad because lots of my friends had success on Bunky :(

great but stopped working
i loved the layout of this app—it is thorough and so helpful! i met my roommate off of it and i can already tell we’re gonna be best friends. however, for the past two months it will not let me get into the app. the loading screen sits there FOREVER and never ever loads, so i had to delete the app and redownload it. even then it didn’t work. i had to communicate w my roommate on other platforms which i don’t mind, but it’s annoying that the app refuses to work.

Can’t Switch College
I originally got this out, thinking I was going to go to one college, but switched to another. I cannot switch to the college. I’m going to now. I’ve tried deleting the app, and re-downloading it, but nothing deletes the data.

Sorry for being annoying about this and thank you lots for being responsive, but I meant the legal names of other people show up when you try to chat with them.
The preferred names show up good on the screen with “matches” and “chats”, and their general profile, but it gives you their legal name once you click into the actual “DM” you have with them.
The legal names also appear when you try to start a chat with them when they first appear on your feed
I’m not sure if this is just a user-based thing, but I wanted to bring it to your attention just in case

Hello, thank you for the feedback, and sorry for the confusion. Users can verify with their preferred name by entering a nickname during verification or by going to Profile > Settings > Manage Account > Nickname. We only ask for a full name for internal safety checks; it does not have to be the name displayed on your profile. That being said, we appreciate you pointing this out, and we’ll make the option to use a preferred name much clearer in an upcoming update.

Downloaded this and found a wonderful roommate my freshman year.
Now though, I’ve redownloaded it to find a new roommate and it’s too glitchy to use. It won’t let me progress past a “Welcome Back” screen. There are no buttons to click to decide “how I should proceed”, just a grey box.
Please work on reducing bugs.

Best college roommate app out there
Over the past few months? I’ve looked all over TikTok, Instagram, google, and even chat gpt trying to find a good college roommate app. I found ZeeMee but the app had a few glitches and nobody seemed serious about finding a roommate. Finally, I found out about Bunky through Instagram and after only a week, I’ve already found a great roommate! The app allows you to go into so much depth that it makes conversation with potential roommates very easy. I would 100% recommend this app to anyone looking for a roommate!

can’t edit profile
i like this app other than the fact that you can’t edit your profile or delete a mission and it gets very confusing. there are things i want to change but am unable to.

I hate glazing apps bc I don’t wanna sound like a bot but this app is actually pretty good!! it’s cute and customizable! there are a few things they could add more to, like lifestyle and stuff, but otherwise it’s pretty good! I haven’t found a roommate on it yet but that’s not the apps fault lol

I feel like this is sooooo much more efficient than Facebook or other random roommate sites. I also love how you can match w people anonymously it takes out the awkwardness

This app is perfect for finding roommates or even just friends, the only thing I don’t like about the about is that you can’t see who liked you unless you pay, or you also liked them.
DON’T DOWNLOAD
It is not worth it, the app is super buggy and crashes, and the ui looks horrible. Also there is nobody on the app so it’s impossible to find anyone.
Verification
Good but the verification is annoying for people who don’t go by their legal name, especially queer individuals. Is there anyway to change that?
