SETTLE UP YOUR WAY Pick Direct to pay exactly who you owe, or Simplified for the fewest payments. Every suggested payment explains what it stands in for, so you always know why it is there. Your choice is saved per hangout and follows you across your devices, with one tap to apply it to all of them. Best of all, everyone in a hangout can choose differently and still end up square. Nobody pays twice, and nobody is left short. MONEY YOU CAN CHECK Balances are worked out to the exact cent and never mix currencies. Anything already paid is taken into account before we suggest anything. And if a balance moves while your payment is still pending, we tell you plainly and show you the new figure, instead of quietly adjusting it behind your back. RECEIPTS THAT KEEP AN HONEST RECORD When a receipt has money off, we now ask whether the discount is already taken off the prices, and start on whichever answer matches the printed total. This works the same in ordinary hangouts as it does in Turbo Splits. Claiming is separate from paying: mark what was yours now, settle later in Settle Up. You can edit a receipt after claiming has opened, see a summary of the change before it saves, and everyone affected is told. Anything already paid stays protected. TURBO SPLITS Tap anywhere on a row to claim it, not just the small box at the end. Long press to see who claimed what. Hosts can correct a price after sharing, and everyone can see what changed, from what to what, both in the app and on the web claim page. NOTIFICATIONS YOU CAN TRUST The app icon badge now matches what is actually waiting for you. It counts the same things the bell does, clears the moment you catch up, and leaves with you when you sign out. No more phantom red dots. PIP KEEPS UP The chat is bigger, and answers scroll into view instead of hiding behind the keyboard. Your draft survives closing the chat, you can stop a long answer part way, and Pip reacts as you move through setting things up. PIP PRO, HONESTLY The Pro page shows your own numbers, previews everything on your own profile, and takes its pricing straight from the store in your currency. No countdowns, no invented scarcity, no pressure. A CALMER LOOK Softer surfaces in both light and dark, one consistent family of pop-up cards, friendlier empty screens, and loading that settles instead of flickering. Buttons, pills and cards now share one set of sizes, so nothing sits slightly out of place. New OLED black turns the dark background fully black, which is kinder to OLED screens and battery, and it steps aside automatically in light mode. A BETTER START Setting up now shows you what each choice looks like before you commit to it, including how you prefer to settle, so the app fits you from your very first hangout. EVERY SCREEN, EVERY SIZE Type, spacing and money scale properly from the smallest phone to the largest, with nothing clipped or cut off, and larger accessibility text sizes are supported throughout. FIXED A payment made on the fewest payments plan now properly settles the debts it stands in for, instead of leaving both sides still showing money owed. Settle Up and Net Balance have been reorganised and decluttered, and the settle up shortcut inside hangout details is far easier to find.
