Woulda shoulda coulda
The game works well smooth play, but the are a few flaws. The main flaw is the controller can’t be switch to the right side. I am right handed and it is difficult to play with the controller stuck on the left. The second is the controller. Since there is no physical controller and to tactal feel it is hard to know where your finger is on screen. The fact that you have to be exact when you move in a direction you have to start in the center position, that is hard to do while watching where the burgerman is on screen.
This could be a fun retro game otherwise.
The last issue is the ad when when you do finish a level. It is very difficult to get past it if you aren’t interested. It is easier to crash out of the game and start over, yes you never get past the first level, but you aren’t stuck watch in an ad forever..

Good Game…BUT
The ad banner is positioned right through the control panel. I’ve tried to close the ads. I can not. If you fix this it will allow users better access controls. I like the graphics. It moves a bit fast but again. The ads blocking the control is a problem.
Sucks
Great retro game but the ad bar at the bottom prevents you from using the controls. Impossible to play.
Worthless now that there are ads
MAINLY THE AD BAR ACROSS THE CONTROLS. Deleted.
Burgers Chef
My first review was four stars because the joystick needed tweaked. The joystick has been GREATLY improved, so I’ve upped my review to five stars. Good job!
I like it, but…
EDIT: The latest update (April 2026), makes it almost unplayable. There were ads before but now they are across the bottom and to tap the pepper you can’t help but tap an ad. 2 stars.
Just like the classic (BT), but it is glitchy - the controls are amazingly frustrating. They ‘catch’ all the time at just the wrong time. There is no continuation or save and the game will freeze unexpectedly and, welp, gotta start over. It also starts over after a long period of inactivity (no leaving it to play in the morning. It would be a fave of mine if not for these glitches.

What the heck?!
The ad system changed, and you cannot even use the controls without tapping on an ad, and what’s worse, you cannot even dismiss an ad. So this game is totally worthless. Very bad experience. I wish I could just pay for this game and avoid the stupid ads.
Not
Tooo tooo many ads can’t enjoy playing mostly watching ads I can do this on YouTube get rid of the ads
Should have left the bad out
Back in the day of the arcade, many of the controller options were limited to 4-way controllers, so you only had up, down, right, left… This made those old games extremely frustrating quarter munchers.
Within 5 years most arcade games moved on to 8-way controllers and games like these were nostalgic, until you played them and remembered how bad the controllers were.
Keep in mind this is also the piece that made the OG Donkey Long frustrating.
Anyway, here we are with a knock-off (a very faithful one at that) of Burger Time and unfortunately the developer could have improved the controllers, but he stuck with the original 4 direction locked control scheme and 39 years later, that’s just not going to work out for this game.
If the developer fixes the controllers I would give this 5 stars, because I want my nostalgia to be just how I like it, all of the good memories of these games and none of the bad!
Oh and add physical controller support! I would love to be able to use my Xbox for that.

Like the original
It’s like the original, but it just needs a little work
Burgers Chef
Love everything about the game, except the controls. Get the joystick spot on, and this game would be a ten.

Needs help
Hard to move the chef, especially if you aren’t a lefty. Does not remember if you change the controller type. Disappointed, deleted.
Updated the problem
I really want to play the game but it keeps wanting me to update a solitaire game I don’t have to begin with. And it won’t let me move forward with the game until I update.
Way to hard to move.
It’s surely like the classic, but is way to hard to move, and going down ladders is impossible… overall pretty bad game
Burger Time…er uh…Burgers Chef
Being the biggest Burger Time fan who played the original at the amusement park, I’m really impressed with this game. I found it oddly during a search for airport landing games. Buried way off the main pushed games. Only one thing, could the pepper button be directly above the control pad? The reason I ask is because not everyone wants or can hold up an iPad to play, especially with new models more heavy. This would also let the game be played with one finger and be able to switch that set up to the left or right of the screen. Your Rally X and Snowbee & pengo games and others could benefit from this set up too. I least an option for it in controls set up. It is rad that these three game are landscape mode not portrait, that’s way important because I only get landscape games, or if a game can be played in all four screen positions. The glitch in the controls when chef is trying to go down a ladder is there just like the original but I wish it wasn’t. In other words the controls be more responsive than the original. Anyways thank you for reading my ramblings. I know what I’m craving for lunch today. Peace, love and Mr Do!
