About
BurstWizard is a hands-free burst camera for iPhone and iPad. Set it down, walk into
frame, and it fires full-quality photos back-to-back until you stop it.
iOS has no good answer to "photograph this group, and I am in it." The self-timer gives
you one frame and one chance. Holding down the shutter keeps a hand on the phone. A
Bluetooth remote is another thing to own and another thing visible in the picture.
BurstWizard works differently: prop your phone up, frame the shot, tap to focus, tap the
shutter, and a countdown gives you time to get into position. Then the burst runs — until
you stop it, or until it stops itself.
THREE MODES
- Max: every frame the device can deliver, as fast as it can deliver it. For the group
photo — the most frames around the moment.
- Paced: one frame every 0.5 to 10 seconds. For children and animals, where the moment
worth having arrives sometime in the next minute.
- Timed: fire for a set duration, then stop and save without being told. Removes the
walk back to the phone.
BUILT FOR ACROSS THE ROOM
- Tap to focus and expose, with AE/AF lock — framing is settled before you leave the phone
- Sound and haptics while capturing; a visual cue takes over when both are off
- A capacity estimate tells you how many shots fit before you start
EVERY FRAME IS KEPT
Photos land in your library as they are taken — not held until the end — and arrive as a
single burst stack, ready to pick through. If a capture is ever interrupted, everything
shot up to that point is saved.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
BurstWizard collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, and no network access at all —
your photos never leave your device. Free, with no in-app purchases and no ads.
Requires iPhone or iPad with iOS 26.0 or later.
