Controlled / Manipulative game dynamics; “luck / chance” removed
After thousands of hours playing Monopoly, both the board game and the video game versions, and after reading many of the reviews, i agree with those who say the game is rigged to prevent players who are playing against the AI to execute legitimate strategies to win.
As the logo of this Monopoly version suggests, “Become a business monopolist” we’re encouraged to execute strategies to “monopolize” by purchasing as many properties as funds allow, and as everyone knows, that’s how you win the game. The game dynamics, however, controls / manipulates several elements in game dynamics, from what your dice roll to manipulating trading.
For example, according to several of the reviews, there is no luck of what the dice might roll. This version also removes “luck / chance” by manipulating trading. If a trade with an AI gives you too much of an advantage, the AI will block you from even offering a trade to one of the AI characters while all of the other AI characters require massive amounts of funds to purchase their properties. So, you are actually penalized for executing gameplay like a “Monopolist!” o.O
Since i know a little about how Monopoly game dynamics should function (received my first Monopoly board game at 9 yrs old), and since the reason Monopoly became such a worldwide popular game was due to its appeal to “monopolize.” (Many say that its appeal to monopolize is what took Monopoly to the level of the most popular #1 game in the world; astounding when considering its humble beginnings of 5,000 homemade games produced and sold during the year after it was patented on December 31, 1934).
So, if you want to play a game that removes the key element for why Monopoly is a great game and replace that monopolist element with game dynamics that are controlled / manipulative and that remove “luck / chance,” then this version is for you. If not, you may want to keep looking for a better version. Oh, and btw, if your choice is the former, prepare yourself for a LOT of annoying ads.

More adds than play. There is a 30 to 45 second ad that you have to click
More adds than play. There is a 30 to 45 second ad that you have to click at least three times on the X button to get back to the game. This happens before each and every turn you get so there is more time trying to close the ads then actual game time. It’s a shame because it is kind of a neat game.

Jan 3 2023 Review: Buggy
Decent version of the Hasbro “Monopoly” game, but this one is a bit buggy. - When you land on an unpurchased property, the human user is not allowed to mortgage properties and then purchase the new property unless you watch an ad. Annoying and distracting. You have to put up with it unless you pay to remove ads.
The computer opponents can automatically do this if they wish.
The human player has the screen frozen between a choice of Declining to buy the property and using AUCTION, to allow other Players to bid on the property. - restarting or quitting has a similar “watch an ad” requirement. Annoying.
- Rolled dice can land off the center of the board and the result changes the actual dice roll. If, for example, you rolled a 1 and a 5 and the 5 die landed slightly off the center of the board, the game would ignore the 5 result and assume you rolled a 1.
- I have also seen the same result because one of the dice landed on its points, instead of landing flat! Generally, if one of the dice landed wrong, that dice would be re-rolled or both dice would be re-rolled.
- Rolling DOUBLES three times will auto send a human player to Jail. It does not always seem to work that way for computer opponents. Sporadically, I have seen the computer player roll triple doubles.
- Computer players seem to roll doubles more frequently than human players. The randomization algorithm probably needs to be reworked.
- TRADE algorithm and logic needs explaining. I counteroffered to trade two properties to a computer player, that was accepted. A previous offer where I offered more money than the original Computer offer was rejected sometimes. Not consistent, but this is still “human”, I suppose. Humans are not very consistent.
Suggestion: a setting switch that allows all player fines and fees to collect until someone lands on FREE PARKING.
I originally bought the Parker Brothers - Hasbro Monopoly app from the App Store. They temporarily removed it from the App Store after a change in iOS versions. When they updated the app, nobody who bought the previous version was offered an upgrade. One of the reasons why I won’t buy the Hasbro version.

Waste of time
Too many adds don’t waste your life and download alternatives

It’s a fun game and it has so much potential but the ads are obnoxious and overly forced every 15-30 seconds. To the point where I have to turn off my data and Wi-Fi. And another thing. They always cheat you when you own properties with hotels by not letting the other players land on them. SMH. But it’s a fun game overall you guys just need to step it up it’s 2022. 🤦🏽♀️

Needs work
I have an iPhone and think this game is great!… except when every other game that not give me money when trading something. Or when I am almost going to win but then I don’t get paid when someone lands on my space. That’s frustrating when u spend hours on a game and can’t win :/

Best version of monopoly out there
Because the licensed Monopoly game by Hasbro is such absolute cheating trash, this is the best version of monopoly available that I’ve found. The dice rolls are random. It counts the spaces correctly every time, and the trading w AI is challenging and mostly fair.
Failed to load
When playing, I want to watch a video to earn money and it keeps saying failed to load. I can’t mortgage property or sell houses, so have to file bankruptcy.

It’s a great game, but to many 30 second ads in the middle of the game play. I don’t object to ads for free games, but this is excessive and annoying.
This game pretty good but don’t waste your time on this game
There are a lots of problems and this game is not even that good but better then the other Rento- online dice board game and a lot of other games but something ruins the game. 1. Going to jail: this is one of the problems I’ve got and is a true problem but you make people go to jail way toooooooooooooooo much and that’s one thing that keeps you from getting 2.M or 3.M., and this is a problem people have. 2. Property hunting. This is my question I want to know why your opponent’s buy almost every property and you have almost no nothing nada properties also why do you have less properties and less money if your opponent’s have like no houses or hotels, more properties, and more money. 3. Landing on taxes. So 75% of the time in the game after passing go you almost always pay 2.M on taxes and another question is why do you have to pay for taxes always before passing or landing on go. 4 glitches. It’s ok because it’s not a major glitch but one time after passing go I had 9.58.M but when I landed on taxes they took away 210 dollars instead of 200 which I had 11.58.M and then leave me left with 9.48.M, and don’t get me started with the glitches. 5. Cheesy opponent’s. When I actually mean cheesy

Rigged against human player
Computer players make trades among themselves, but always decline you’re trades, even ridiculous amounts of cash for properties that are not of great value to them.

As others state your trades are ALWAYS declined. You always go to jail, get a pay $ card, land on pay tax when your trying to just pass go. I deleted game waste of my time!

AI is set to cheat or there are bugs
Multiple times a comp player has rolled a number that should have landed on my property but instead it landed on go to jail saving it from bankruptcy. I’m pretty sure it has landed on chance when not supposed to as well. Seems to just ignore one of the die and use roll of the die that is advantageous.
Making deals is basically “throw as much money at AI as you can to make the same trade that another AI wouldn’t have pay 1/3 to trade”.
Only way to win is to be super aggressive with buying properties and try not to have cash on hand if possible. That way you can just watch videos to avoid bankruptcy.

Fixed dice
Terrible game, dice are fixed really bad. You’ll land on the computers hotels most times and they’ll rarely land on your hotels. Prob 7 to 1

The text is unprofessional, you cannot trade bots because they want 2x(+) more value out of any trades.
