No Caterpillars!
I’ve enjoyed this app for a while and am really pleased to have this guide to British butterflies and moths. I would have loved to be able to identify the relevant caterpillars as well, but sadly it seems that is too much to ask.
Spiny apps are great
I have 5 Spiny apps and they all use the same interface which is very easy to use. Species can be identified and sightings logged with your own pictures. I especially like the ability to compare pictures of different species to help identify what you are looking at. It would be even better though, if it were possible to flick through all the pictures available and not just the ones selected. E.g. you may wish to compare the top of a butterfly or mushroom, the underneath and then the distribution.

Good app. BUT
A good app. with sufficient information. I was going to buy a book instead but went for the app. but never really thought about it: Butterflies like the sun, but phone screen cannot be seen. Oops.
