The App Works…
The app works, but I don’t recommend getting entangled with this company. I had them linked through my Stripe account and then they canceled my account without explanation. But have steadfastly refused to disconnect from Stripe so that I can use it with another provider. Stripe says that since I linked through them they have to do it on their end. I’ve written to their support email at least four times but not once have they ever responded, so I can’t recommend this company. I can only imagine just how poor the service will be when there’s a time sensitive issue. There are plenty of providers for this kind of service, and you’ll probably be better off using one of those.

My Account
In the iPhone app I cannot find My Account anywhere! So unable to modify subscriptions. Very frustrating.

Avoid at all cost! Borderline fraudulent
3rd time writing a review that won’t post. Go to my trust pilot review. But I’ll tell you. They cheated a Canadian out of money by using default funds to US. Only stripe has a strict policy that payments must be made on YOUR country’s currency as that is here I pay taxes. So then they exchanged the money and I lose $30. Then they won’t let me withdraw any more money. I was give $70 +$50 + 40 and they paid our $62.00 and I can’t access other funds. Their desktop version says I don’t have an account and their app is awful. It does NOT look like these photos show. I also have written posts which have never been saved as drafts and have been deleted after posting. HORRIBLE app. Use Linktree and your own email or substack!

Audio Player Needs Work
I am really enjoying using this app as a coffee buyer. However, the audio player could use some work. The app times out without it being closed and does not save where I’m at in an episode. It also doesn’t display the time correctly for the audio. I use this app to avoid ads and such where the creators post elsewhere, but the audio player is making it hard to stick to that.

The app is easy to navigate, a couple tips during setup to make links and such more custom and clean could be noted. Aside from that it’s a 5/5 so far.

It's so nice that my subscribers can use the Buy Me a Coffee application to do something so generous for me..and yet small enough so as not make us gifted ones left feeling like their gift was over the top. It's wonderful.
Cannot delete comments
I have a stalker who found my BMAC. He donated, I refunded and blocked him stating the reason is “repeated unwanted contact.” When I tried to delete his absurd, creepy, manipulative comment (sharing personal information and his drama) I realized that I could not. I can “delete” (see: hide) the comment itself but the fact that he donated is still there even though I refunded his donation immediately. I contacted BMAC and explained the situation, even that, after 10 months of this nonsense, I’m about to file a police report in preparation for a restraining order. They refused to help me, stating I could just hide it (even though I can’t completely hide it). Why is this even a problem? Why can’t I do something basic like delete a comment? Is a stalker running your company? Upon looking into BMAC more, it looks like they have a lot of absurd problems that they simply refuse to fix. It’s sad, I really liked this site.. but Ko-Fi and Patreon don’t allow me to be harassed. Choices choices. I think you all know what I’m gonna do. This shouldn’t even be a problem and when I contact you and tell I’M BEING STALKED you should immediately take action in my favor.😒

I really like Buy Me a Coffee so far. The app is clean, simple, and easy to navigate. Setting up my creator profile was straightforward, and I like that everything is laid out in a way that makes sense without being confusing.

I’ve had several people contact me and tell me that they couldn’t donate even though they tried I highly suggest trying to donate to yourself and see if it works

I have been going back and forth with these guys for 3 days. Months ago, I had signed up for a subscription to support a creator for €20. I thought deleting my account and my credit card, that would be enough to end my subscription. Oh no, I still was charged $27.98 (current exchange rate for €20). They can’t find my account. They can’t find the creator. They have asked me for the email that I signed up for the subscription at least 3 times.
I should have read the reviews for this app before I got started. It seems that my experience is not unique. Creators and subscribers have clearly had issues with this app and company. Buyer beware!!!! There are probably better ways to support your favorite creators. Avoid Buy Me A Coffee!!!

Trouble with bank account setup
Can’t set up Stipe. I replied to one of Buy Me’s emails. They didn’t respond.
Worst of all, no way of linking bank account directly. Have to go through a third party. I don’t fee comfortable doing this. Should have option for both ways to link to account.

Great app idea, but things don’t always work.
While I love having the app, so people can buy me a coffee, it is a bit frustrating that I am not always able to post a video, either straight from the camera or grab a pre-recorded video. This basic functionality should really be resolved fully.
