About

Your photo library fills up quietly. The same picture saved three times. A burst of forty near-identical shots. Screenshots you needed once. Blurry photos you never got around to deleting. Bytebye finds them and shows you exactly how much space you would get back — before you pay anything. WHAT IT FINDS • Exact duplicates — the same photo saved more than once • Similar photos — burst shots and near-identical takes • Screenshots — the receipts and maps you already used • Blurry photos — out-of-focus and shaky shots • Large videos — anything over 100 MB, biggest first ONE PHOTO ALWAYS STAYS In every duplicate or similar group Bytebye keeps the best shot: the highest resolution, and the oldest one when resolutions match. That photo cannot be selected for deletion. You can hand the role to another shot whenever you disagree. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE There is no server, no account and no upload. Every scan runs on your device. Deleted items go to Recently Deleted, where your phone keeps them for 30 days. HONEST PRICING The scan is always free — you see the full result and the exact figure before deciding anything. No weekly plan. No hidden trial charges. Pay once, or pay yearly. SUBSCRIPTION AND TERMS The yearly Bytebye Premium subscription renews automatically every year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings at any time. The one-time purchase is not a subscription and nothing renews. What's New in Bytebye

1.2.0

September 24, 2026

• Review by month: pick any month of your library and swipe through it. Swipe left to delete, right to keep. • Two new categories: screen recordings and similar videos. • Swipe mode now has an Undo button and shows the photo being kept next to the card. Long-press any item to see it full screen: zoom into photos, play videos. • A smarter choice of the photo that stays: a photo you marked as a Favorite is kept; otherwise the sharpest shot, then the highest resolution, then the oldest. Favorites are never suggested for deletion in the screenshot, blurry, screen recording or large video lists. • More accurate exact duplicates: unrelated near-blank frames, like dark pocket shots or plain sky, are no longer grouped together, and edited photos are checked again. • Your free daily limit is shown while you review. If you select more than is left, you can delete the first ones now and the rest tomorrow. The result screen now says plainly that items went to Recently Deleted and how to empty that album to free space right away. Cancelling iOS's delete confirmation no longer shows a result screen. • Smoother scanning: the heavy work no longer runs on the main thread. The tracking prompt is translated into all nine languages, and users in the EU and UK can find Google's ad privacy choices in Settings.
