Unreliable connection and poor customer service
Disappointing experience during a 20-day trip. I purchased a 20gb data plan with unlimited calls and texts, but experienced repeated call drops mid-conversation across 7-8 different phone numbers, with multiple failures happening on the same day. I also had sudden network outages where I couldn't connect to the internet for several minutes at a time throughout the day.
When I contacted customer support with detailed evidence (screenshots of dropped calls, specific phone numbers affected), they were dismissive and repeatedly blamed "signal conditions on the receiving party's end" despite the pattern occurring consistently across multiple different numbers and days. They refused to acknowledge it could be a service issue on their end and denied any refund.
The unreliable calls made it genuinely difficult to make reservations and communicate during my trip. If you need dependable voice calls while traveling, I'd look elsewhere. calling feature they advertise as "unlimited talk" was unreliable when I needed it most.

Internet is very slow
I was using bytesim in Asia and it worked well, but in Europe and Mexico the internet is so slow that you can’t even open the app

Was happy for a while as the China Esim came with a built-in VPN. But not anymore, so really disappointing
No real unlimited
I got an esim with „unlimited“ 5G data plan and tried to used it in germany. It connects to O2 provider, i got 20mbits 1m next to my friends phone which is getting between 200-250 connected to the same radio mast through the same provider. After using 5GB the internet got blocked and wasn usable anymore even with best network recieval and healthy connection

Horrible customer service
Bought a package which should have included a number, it did not. Contacted support through their WhatsApp service and they had horrible support. They even refused to give a refund even though I requested it within an hour of purchase.

Bought 5G Unlimited but not working
I purchased 5G Unlimited plan for 3 days for my MY trip, internet stopped working after one day and the app shown 12.55GB of usage. I don't mind if it stated clearly about the FUP so I can better plan everything out, but got data stopped only after a day caused so much problem for my trip.
Great in China but sux in Australia
Australia data seems need to be improved.

Works correctly like most major E-Sims, even often with 5G. Take care to install properly, with “ data roaming” on, to prevent errors.
Decent app with good support
The plans are quite affordable. App is decent, not the most responsive, but decent. Had good experience with customer care on WhatsApp. Data stopped working completely after FUP. Customer care refunded the remaining days without a hassle.

Excellent Travel Assistant
Great product and service for travelling through Asia. We use this service (data only option for maps, reviews and WhatsApp….what more do you need?) on a 2 week vacation to Vietnam and Hong Kong. Easy to order through the app and the customer service via WhatsApp is excellent for any eSIM install needs. I will use again on my next adventure. Very good prices compared to Canada roaming charges.
