About
Cacti is your group of friends' private newspaper.
During the week, everyone shares what happened to them: a text, a voice note or a few photos. No feeds, no likes, no need to keep checking. On Friday, the group gets its edition: headlines, one story per person and everyone's words exactly as they said them.
HOW IT WORKS
• Found a group, add your people's names and share a single invitation link.
• Everyone shares their week whenever they want: writing, recording a voice note (it gets transcribed) or uploading photos.
• Whatever you mark with the lock is seen by no one but you.
• Every week, on the day and at the time the group picks (Friday by default), the edition comes out. If someone shared nothing, the edition says so too.
AFTER THE EDITION
• Comment on each story in its thread and react with an emoji.
• Vote for whoever told their week best and see who leads the scoreboard.
• The pot, if the group turns it on: whoever shares nothing that week adds a symbolic fine. Cacti only keeps the tally; it doesn't charge or move money, and you settle up in person at the next get-together.
MADE FOR REAL GROUPS
• Private groups, invitation only. What you share is read by your group, no one else.
• Be in several groups with the same account.
• Notifications when someone shares something, when the edition is out and when someone replies, never showing the content in the notification.
• In Spanish or English, as the group chooses.
ABOUT THE EDITION
The text of each edition is written by an artificial intelligence (Claude, by Anthropic) from what the group shares; quotes are verbatim. If something isn't right, you can report it from the story itself.
NO ADS
Cacti has no ads, doesn't sell data and doesn't build profiles. You can delete your account and everything of yours from the app at any time.
