Good idea bad experience

Love the idea but it won’t let me scan anything. Says “no connection try again”

Sorry about that, "no connection, try again" usually means the scan request isn't reaching our server, not that your camera is broken. Try force-closing the app and reopening, and if you're on cellular, check that Caffeine Mog has permission under Settings → Caffeine Mog. If it's still failing, reply here or reach out through the support link on the App Store page with your username and I'll look at your account directly. I'd rather fix this than lose you over it.

Pretty dope

Fun to collect energy drinks and level up. Love the social aspect and the ability to scan and take a picture of the drink. Only thing is I wish the amount of points given from each can and their rarity was preset by the devs rather than based on ratings of other people. I had a can that no one had rated so I could just rate it super high to make it legendary though it was very common. Still awesome and an awesome concept.

This is the most useful review I've gotten. Working on a fix so rarity needs a minimum number of ratings before it counts, with dev-set baselines for known drinks. Thanks for pointing at the actual hole instead of just calling it broken.

Really Cool App

Honestly I know the app sounds kinda silly but it is honestly fun to know what energy drinks i’ve had and I can see the memories attached with them because of the pictures i take. 10/10 I recommend

Fueling My Caffeine Addiction

It fuels my caffeine addiction but also a great way to see reviews of drinks, track my caffeine intake, the healthiness of the drinks and I can see how much friends drink lol.

Slow

The loading for searching your can is very slow, it would be better if you can scan the cans more than once but get lower scores if you scan it more than once. It seems kind of pointless when you have the same cans but they stop giving points after the first scan of it. It took away a lot of my energy drinks in my collection.

Hey, appreciate the detailed feedback, this is genuinely useful. The slow search is on me, I'm working on speeding up the scan/lookup so that'll get better in an update. On the repeat-scan thing: points are capped per can on purpose so people can't just farm the same drink over and over, but I hear you that hitting a dead zero feels bad. The diminishing-points idea is interesting and I'll think about how to do it without breaking the leaderboard. Thanks for actually taking the time to explain it.

Saving Issue

It has a fun concept but my energy drinks that I scan do not save after I close the app.

Hey, thanks for flagging this, you were right, scans weren't persisting after the app closed. That's fixed as of the latest update, so if you update to the newest version your collection should save properly now. Really appreciate you taking the time to report it, and sorry it tripped you up. Fun and Built for Energy Drink Culture

I’ve tried a bunch of caffeine apps, but this one is actually fun to use. Scanning cans to build a collection and compete with friends makes it way more addictive than just logging drinks. The UI is super clean, the collection aspect is awesome, and I already found myself looking for new energy drinks to scan more. This feels like the only energy drink app out there
