When I encounter any cookie consent ‘choices’ window that deliberately makes it very difficult and tedious to reject all cookies, whether it’s for an app or a website, I leave the web page or delete the newly installed app immediately.

To ensure that consent is freely given, users should be able to disable cookies easily, via provision of minimal, simple, clear options. The creator of this app has wilfully chosen to use by far the worst form of ‘consent’ process available. Many, many other tools exist that provide quick and easy cookie choice options and, therefore, use of the item employed here can only be a deliberate attempt to deter exercising the right to choose.
A developer response states:
"It just the requirement of the Google Ads, you can either accept or deny."
It is not "just" anything. The developer has chosen to use the specific tool. It is far from a matter of "accept or deny" - that's my point. To deny cookies via the tool the developer has employed required many dozens of individual actions - there is no simple deny option. Yet cookies can be accepted with one action, and there's the crux... the tool used deliberately deters denying cookies and this flies in the face of guidelines for compliance. The developer can choose to use an alternative tool but they have chosen not to and, instead, made the bizarre statement, above, which could be interpreted as clueless, devious, or a display of contempt. Possibly a combination.
Change the cookie choice tool to a single 'accept or deny' action and I'll happily amend my review.
