Navigation needs work
The swiping gesture seems to be poorly implemented. I can’t count the number of times I have swiped up in order to scroll down on a page, only for the app to advance to the next page instead. Frustrating.

His regular front page biased opinions reflect poorly on this newspaper. His ilk push former loyal subscribers to alternative media where objective and accurate reporting exists.
Poor update
Latest version of app does not report correct date of issue, particularly for Monday paper. Previous version was much better.
New format
Basically hate new format!
Stale dated news articles, weekend edition poor compared to previous format. New “funnies” page dreadful. Seriously considering cancelling subscription!

Why bother ?
Hard to believe this Newspaper remains in business. Poor communication. Update failures. Non Delivery is their standard.
Hard to read
Very difficult to read e papers - always fiddling with article sizes. Not designed for ease in reading on a small screen. Poor
App Won’t Update
Will not update to V4.11.11 from 4.11.9 no matter what I do. Got the most recent IOS on iPad so what gives? My wife’s iPad updated to 4.11.11 and mine, a newer model, will not update no matter what.
Update reminder
I like the format. But keep getting an update reminder. Click update and it does not update my iPad.
No App Support
I started getting notices of an app upgrade a couple of years ago and each time I received the notice I attempted the upgrade. Didn’t matter what I did including deleting the app it wouldn’t upgrade. Contacted support months ago. Still no upgrade. This is the only app that I am unable to upgrade. Why have an app if you don’t support it properly.

Comments won’t open
The comments for each article often don’t open when you click on the bubble with the number of comments listed. Occasionally it will work but more often than not, it won’t. I have the latest version of the app. Quite frustrating

Have a subscription but cannot open it
Using the app has been a great source of frustration. There is no good documentation to get registered even though I pay for a Herald subscription. Very disappointing. I have reached out to the Herald and had no reply. I sat online and waited for a representative. She indicated that she had no training on how to use the app or how to get registered. She offered no advice to make it work.

Unreliable app
Crashes regularly. Dumping it for Flipboard. Calgary Herald has deteriorated to a 3rd rate rag. So sad..

Don’t bother
The app crashed on Wednesday. Today, 3 days later, it’s still not working. Communication from the Herald has been abysmal. Don’t waste your time or money. A completely useless app and subscription.
Opinion pieces
Opinion pieces should never be on the front page or for that matter anywhere but in the opinion section.
The worst app I use.
The Calgary Herald and National Post epapers are definitely the worst apps I use. I spend most of the time I spend reloading the app. Every time it travel it will not reopen with the daily paper. It’s Friday today and I get to read last Wednesdays paper. When I try to reset it tries to make me repay for the app. This is a ridiculous waste of time.

Complete Dissatisfaction
I haven’t been able to download a newspaper for two consecutive days now. App won’t update, but the Herald has my annual subscription payment! That seems to be what counts! At least for them!
