Blocked exactly one call
In a world where scammers are generating new numbers for each call, this kind of app unfortunately won’t work. It also looks like it isn’t being maintained since the last update was 4 years ago.

Sunday, April 5, 2026, 10:40 PM. I've had no response from CallControl support. So I've lowered my rating on this app: This is the error message I get on my iPhone:
"Error enabling extension. The data provided by CallControl was invalid. "
Yes, I cannot enable CallControl in my settings. So I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Still I cannot enable it in my settings. So I upgraded and I still cannot enable it in my settings. So I went to the 'Web' page and logged in and found that I am still registered as using the free app. No mention of my recent purchase of the upgraded CallControl. So get it working or give me my money back.

Works great at blocking Robo calls, Spam calls, any unwanted calls. I love the auto disconnect feature.

YOU are blocking spam calls-not this app
Paid $29.99/year of “call blocking” 1/14/26. Had it two weeks. Frustration level 11 out of 10.
Call Blocking settings turned ON.
Block Mode on BLOCK.
Safe Contacts ON (so that my Contacts are not blocked).
Call Control activated in Settings in my iphone.
Yet my Dad (in my Contacts) is blocked, and spam calls are being sent to my voice mail.
WHY?
I can enter alllll my contacts in the “allowed calls” tab, but if I am giving you access to all my contacts, why should I need to do this?
“Call Control Activity” tab shows spam detected from other callers- click on “info” on a spam call and it asks you to “block or allow number”
Again, WHY? Why should I have to do that?
Someone else’s spam is also MY spam- block it automatically! Why do I need to click on every detected spam call to manually block each number Call Control has already identified as spam?
If I am doing all the work, what is this app really doing for me for $29.99?

Best call blocking
I’ve been using this app for years now - from both an android and an apple phone . I paid for the premium service when I first installed it on my android phone and that same service stayed with my to my Apple phone. I don’t know of that many apps that will do that. My only complaint is that initially you could block a number by having it just hang up on them. Not sure it does that anymore. Otherwise I love it !

The Best Offensive line!
I been a LONG time customer. Grandfathered in. And one thing I can truly say about this app…it’s PHENOMENAL! No issues ever since inception (2008)! I been with these guys since the beginning and have seen nothing but a great service. They have honored the “early customers” their word of being grandfathered in to this day. Great service! Great app!

Paid for a subscription and it doesn’t even block calls. Don’t waste your money on this app.
Not helping
The calls I receive are coming from numbers that are disconnected when I call the number back within a couple of minutes so reporting and blocking is meaningless and just an additional burden on me (potentially blocking someone who receives that number later on). Also doesn’t reduce any of spam calls I receive.

I have not seen any significant reduction in Robo calls and scam calls, I feel there’s no learning from user experience
because I tried to block those calls, and most of them are my area code.
Scammers and and dirty salesmen use the same area code you have and I’ll rather block all the calls from my area code, but there’s no option to do so.

It does not work!!
Began using Call Control 6 days ago hoping it would be an improvement to Verizon’s Call Filter which does not stop any spam, robocalls, etc. Call Control gives their premium service for the first 7 days free so I tried it. Giving it 1 star because it blocked only 1 call which was a scam call from the same area code and prefix as mine. Call Control works in that limited scope. There is a reporting feature in the app where you input the offending incoming call, choose from Scam, Robocall, Telemarketing, Phishing, etc., then can add any notes, and the call is blocked. This proved to be a total waste of time. I was reporting to them 20+ calls per day that Call Control was not stopping. So Call Control stopped only 1 of over 100 calls in 6 days. Just deleted the app. No sense in paying for after tomorrow considering their best service level proved to be worthless and a waste of time. Back to manually blocking and deleting these calls on my own without an app.

Doesn’t provide any protection from number spoofing - Bell Canada recommended this as they are powerless to stop rogue Indian and Chinese scammer call centres, but this is just shifting their problem

Download and setup with local phone area code spoofing. Does absolutely nothing. Local area code robocalls still continue. 0% effective.
MUCH quieter phone!
Thanks to Call Control, I have my phone back! Gone are the days of looking at my “recent” call log and finding it full of unknowns who don’t want to talk to me! I love that if an unknown call comes in I can just enter it into the app and ZAP! never to be heard from again! Ever since installing this app I haven’t had ONE unknown or spam call. Today I did receive a silenced call, and it was quickly done away with! Good job guys!
