Cannot try first

Can I try to lookup some numbers before I pay for subscription? It says $29 then when it went to payment page it said $39.
I have a feeling it will be like every other app where u pay and then your search comes back NOTHING OR irrelevant info. Then you cannot reach anyone for refund bc they do not want to refund you in the first place
