UPDATED REVIEW

Well. Highly responsive dev. Responded to my review within a day, responded to my description of the problem within a day of my more detailed email, and shipped an updated version of the app a day after that. I have been moved from disappointed to impressed. Well done!

Response from developer

Hi! Iโ€™m really sorry about the trouble with your lifetime subscription. Please reach out to me at contact@getcals.app, and Iโ€™ll make sure we get this sorted for you right away!

Lifetime unlock gone

This dev offered a promotional free lifetime license a few months ago which I claimed. I played around with the app for a few days but put it aside until I had time to start working with it seriously. I reinstalled it today to begin to do so and found that all premium features are locked, the only โ€œProโ€ offerings are subscriptions, and thereโ€™s no lifetime license to be found in the UI to Restore (although the lifetime in-app purchase is still listed in the AppStore). Disappointing.

Itโ€™s a good app butโ€ฆ

You canโ€™t scan food and you can only put it in using keyboard no microphone either but it sets your goals based on what you put in it and itโ€™s a good app just need to improve that

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. Updated: We've added AI food scanning (taking a photo of your food) to the app now ๐Ÿ˜Š

Very responsive dev

I asked the dev if it would be possible to also share nutrition data with Apple Health, Iโ€™m T1D so this helps me track carbs & how they affect my BG, it only took a few days for that to happen, impressive.
I like the clutter free clean UI a lot, even better now that helps manage my BG

Response from developer

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it! ๐Ÿคฉ If you ever have any other feedback, please let me know and I promise to do my best to deliver a great experience!

Almost perfect!

- When searching for a food, it will help to be able to change the portion size. Maybe is possible and I donโ€™t know how to do it.

If we could import recipes or create our own recipes, and then be able to know how many cal / carbs per portion (similar to Lose It or Cronometer) will be amazing.

Love the clean uncluttered UI
