I don’t like that the teaching library link automatically takes you to YouTube. The YouTube library does not include the full gamut of teachings that have happened.
Question
How can I download audio-only messages? Without needing to use my internet data?

Previous App was Awesome
Skip used to have an app that was easy to navigate, play, pause, skip ahead, go back, download, etc. Unfortunately, a few years ago it updated to the current app which is difficult to use for listening and not very useable for download. I’m blessed that we can still go online to listen, but I miss the old app. :(

Skip is Amazing!! The App is Horrible :(
The archived messages do not download properly; you cannot listen to an entire sermon without it looping back to the beginning every 2-3 minutes. The App doesn’t track what you have already listened to. I would love to be fed by God’s word daily via this App as Skip is such a great teacher. Hoping this will be fixed soon!

New App doesn’t work well
I’ve literally listen to hundreds of hours of sermon on the old app. The new app hardly ever downloads sermons correctly and the function/interface need a lot of work. This app is unusable and I hate that.
Sermons are not updated consistently
The app is not really user friendly, and also the sermons are not updated regularly. Every week and weekends teaching should be there but their not.
The midweek series are random and only teachings from a few weeks to a few months are up and also the weekend sermons are not consitent

Love Skip, app NOT user friendly
Have been listening to skip since 2011, but have not listened much using this app because it just does not work well. It doesn’t download well, once sermons do download, it does not have a way to pause so if your 1/2 way through a sermon and need to come back later it starts the sermon all over from the beginning. I thought it was a glitch, but nope have reinstalled app 3 times now, still have same issues. The older app worked much better. Skip is awesome, app is NOT

In short, what I assume methadone is to a heroin addiction.The new app. Is to a user of the old app. Therefore I will pray and wait patiently for the Lord to bless this app with exactly what it need. Thanks for making this app free.

I loved the old app, really enjoy listening to books of the Bible while commuting. I now struggle to get the sermons to download and play. Once playing, if you pause the sermon and try to resume at a later point it restarts the whole thing! Very frustrating but hoping the bugs are being worked out. It has potential but still very quirky.

Bad update, my advice keep the old one !!!!!
I been listing to Skip for over 5 years. I turn my Friend to his app so they can get good preaching from a word driven pastor. All of Them really love the old app with his signature on it. The new update I REALLY dislike, very confusing interface, missing sermon resources. The old app had current radio series which is missing on the new one, along with a whole lot of other features. Keeping the old app on my other devices. Calvary ABQ please bring back he old features.

Bad update
I really dislike this new version of the app, worse even I had no choice to update or not. Not easy to use and not easy to navigate. I had just started my wife to listening and then this update came and now she won't use it now because it's so frustrating. Can't find older sermons and teaching series that I loved.

New app a failure...so sad
I am so sad that Pastor Skip cut off ability to access old sermons. He is so gifted as a teacher of the bible and unfortunately, this change has stopped a fruitful ministry.

Where are the devotions?
I am not a member of the religion or Calvary church, but I had always been touched by the devotions that were given daily in the old app. It has helped me to better understand God and the Bible. Now all the devotions are completely gone. Both the weekly devo and daily devotional. What a shame! My wife still has the old app, so I told her NOT to update. God has truly blessed Pastor skip, but this update is slower on my iPhone 5 as well. We don't live in the USA where the internet bandwidth is great! Sorry but I had to delete the app!

New App
Very saddened by this new version. Can't access all of Skips sermons. Pray it goes back like before.
Terrible update!!
In the old version we could go to ANY sermon Pastor Skip had preached EVER and download and listen to it...ITS ALL GONE NOW!! Replaced with a very confusing display and NOW, if you want to listen to an old sermon...GUESS WHAT? You have to follow some link that takes you to ITunes where you have to now BUY his an entire sermon Series, in order to listen to just one sermon.
WOW. So disappointed- luckily I still have the old version on my iPad - which I will not be updating. BAD MOVE.
And in response to a previous reviewer, NO the app is NOT really free. Go try to listen to an old sermon... it will lead you to a link which requires you to BUY the whole series. NOT FREE.
Maybe I will stick with John MacArthur's app which is truly free. All 40 years of his sermons FREE to download.

Listening can be frustrating
So, the app just updated....it had been a bummer right off the bat. When you look at a series you can't tell which one you've already listened to. When listening to a series you can't go back and re-listen to a part if you missed it. While listening to a teaching I wanted to go back to listen, I unlocked my phone and the teaching started again!
On a good note it is easy to navigate and it is appealing to the eye.

Please upgrade
Apple is saying this app won't be available after the next upgrade. Please don't let all these wonderful teachings slip away. God is using this app to reach people who are 'unchurched.'
