A very handy camera app
The standard Apple camera app will take black and white photos, so why bother with Camera1?
Two reasons:
1. It’s just really handy to have a dedicated black and white camera app. No fiddling with settings, it’s just ready to go.
2. Camera1 has a great range of pre-set photo sizes, especially the really wide one. So again, simple to use.
I have this app installed on my iPhone and both iPads. Highly recommended!

Sehr gute Schwarz-Weiss App
Top Schwarz-Weiss App mit minimalistischem Interface das volle Konzentration auf das Motiv erlaubt. Die Farbfilter sind sehr realistisch umgesetzt.
Ich würde mir noch wünschen, dass das Autofokusfeld im Interface angezeigt und verschoben werden kann.

Best camera in your pocket
I have had many cameras in all formats and fell in love with black and white photography. It can be a steep learning curve. This photo app lets you go through the process step by step and allows you to see the results on screen. You can make beautiful photos with a camera that you always have with you. It’s in your pocket.

Il semble que le stabilisateur d'image ne soit pas géré et mes photos sont souvent floues, ce qui n'est pas le cas avec l'application native sur l'iphone.
Great B&W Camera. Probably needs an update?
Lots of controls here to dial in exactly what you need. My only complaint and maybe why I don’t use it that often is that it feels like it could use an update. When trying to swipe up out of the app, it never really works perfectly. It’ll take me a few times to hop to another app.
Awesome app, quick feedback
This is an incredible idea for an app and could actually make me leave the film camera at home some days, or even indefinitely when traveling. Will be testing it out this week.
Some immediate feedback:
I would love to be able to choose the “focal length” for each shot. I only have 3 options now, ultra-wide - normal - tele. I’d love to pick like 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, etc.
Second, the app crashes when I’m also saving raw files, and I click the camera roll in the top while the photos are still processing and loading.
Will update the review as I shoot with it all this week on vacation! Looking forward to it.

Terrible
I was very disappointed with the purchase. No portrait mode, no film grain, terrible user interface. This is probably the worst camera app I have ever used.
No Zoom - Limits Usefulness
While this app offers a decent experience, the absence of pinch-to-zoom for focal distance adjustment is a significant drawback. Instead, it operates with three fixed focal lengths, which feels restrictive compared to the standard zoom lens functionality we’re accustomed to. I understand the developer’s intent, but this design choice severely impacts the app’s usability and enjoyment. For this reason, I cannot recommend this app.

Best App Ever for B/W Photography
Camera1 is the best app ever for capturing stunning black and white images in-camera! The color correction/contrast filters make the images “pop.” No other black and white app, and no Color to B/W conversion method works as well as Camera1. Try the Red filter on a blue sky with puffy white clouds and you’ll capture a dramatic sky and cloud image… superb, impactful and unbeatable! The “pinch to change” lenses function is nowhere to be found on the user interface… you just have to know it’s the way to change focal lengths (assuming your device has multiple lenses).

I just really like this app…
I realise that you can take black and white photos with the Apple and other cameras. But Camera1 just makes it so much easier - just select the app rather than fiddling with settings in another app.
Camera1 also has a great selection of preset photo sizes. I find it odd that other camera apps have not copied this UI, it’s a real time saver and photo enhancer.
I very much recommend this app!

Simple et efficace !
Vous photographiez en noir et blancs avec une interface simple et un excellent rendu, sans avoir des milliers de réglages et de menu qui vous transforment en ingénieurs plutôt qu’en photographes. Libérez votre esprit et faites des photos et justement c’est tout à fait le but de cette application.

Camera 1, Exactly what I was looking for!
Camera 1 is an app for both very experienced photographers as well as beginners. It’s many features and capabilities more than meet the expectations of advanced photographers, as well as being an app beginners can grow into as they expand their capabilities. Camera 1 takes me back to the good old days of Tri X 35mm photography. I love BW photography and Camera 1 more than meets my expectations!

No Support for Camera1
Camera1 might be a good app if it provided any guidance at all about how to use it. Maybe Its my bad, but I can’t discern just how Camera1 functions even basically to take pictures. I tried to contact Camera1 through what appeared to be a “connect” function within the app, but have never gotten a reply, or an acknowledgement of my message; should I assumed my message was either not received; or even ignored; who knows. In either case. It still look s like a cool app, something I would like to try out. But alas , I guess I’ll never know, and my $5.99 for the app will never be refunded. Too bad.

Serenity
Like with films, I prefer to chose before rather than in post. So enjoying the serenity that comes with the app.
Would love to have an option for anamorphic lens, so I don’t need to change app if shooting with one.

Hidden gem
Camera 1 is one of my favorite choices for shooting in black and white. It's simple and intuitive, and its images are crisp and stark. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

Was looking for a Black and White camera app so I could preview the results before taking the image. This isn’t the highest rated app but took the risk as it’s a one off payment with no in app purchase malarkey. Once installed WOW!!! Adore the interface really great to use and especially love the the photo gallery- awesome design!!! One issue I have however is that although I have ApplePro RAW switched on, it only seems to save jpgs which is a little frustrating as it would be good to play with the results in Lightroom (the only reason this isn’t 5 stars). Otherwise, great app! - phone used iPhone 13 Pro Max.
