Awesome idea but severely lacking
There is only 1 image for you to play with - the app description talks about multiple examples for you to play with, but it is the same image with different simulated lighting scenarios. Also every time you snap a “picture” the app makes a shutter sound, even if you have your phone volume off. Great idea for an app and I want to like it, but it is severely lacking currently.

But once you get the settings right on the one and only example available, it's pretty useless. I definitely feel that I just wasted my money on this.

I simply love it!!! I think the maker should keep it up so it can be run with new iPhone versions and maybe other images for the examples. Please keep it alive. We need it.

... this is what happens when you don't do it. The idea is that you practice controls on an app given picture. This is not a simulator on real pictures you are taking. I shoot film, so I needed a real controller app, to later take the picture. Not worth the money, for me.

Needs more content
It was cool for about 5 minutes. That's how long it took me to find out that if I use the exact same camera settings on EVERY shot I get a "good shot" but if I change them on any example it is off. They need to add a bunch more examples under a wide variety of lighting and motion situations and then it be awesome. Right now there are a bunch of examples of the EXACT same situation-- a little girl with a pinwheel swaying under overcast skies. The same settings work best for every example so it gets boring and useless fast.

Just what I wanted
I was looking for an app that simulated a camera and showed me the effects of changing the different settings from shutter speed to aperture and ISO.

Pretty good
It's a pretty good little app but I can't use it right now because there is no way to turn off the sound of the shutter clicking. The only time I can sit down and play with this app is when my baby is asleep and it wakes her up everytime. Which makes it basically unusable for me 😕 please make this more user friendly? It's a great tool just needs more options.

It's worth it
I've just bought my first camera a few days ago, having never owned a camera, it's a big learning curve. All these new words, aperture, shutter, iso... All new to me, knowing what each mean and how they effect the image is what I didn't really understand apart from the fact the brightness of the image changes. This app let's you play around with their photo, it let's you change these settings and shows you the outcome, it then offers tips on how to make the image better. I've only been on the app for 10 mins, and I now have a great understanding as to what each one does...
So yeah, it might be an app you'll use for just a few minutes, but for me, it was worth the money, it's told me what I wanted to know, I've no doubt I'll be referring back to it in the coming weeks when my shots aren't coming out right.

This is a perfect simulator. I wonder why some expect this to be a real cam! This is just a simulator to show basics of DSLR cams.

This is a great simulator for a DSLR camera. I've bought it for my partner to learn with so I can get my camera back!
Has all the features you need to see, I love the way the motion blur is simulated on a few different scales with the subject's rocking and the windmill. Would be great to see more scenarios/photos, but I love it! Thanks for your hard work on it.

Simply awesome
Fantastic app it lets you learn quickly how to setup a dslr in manual mode using different scenarios. Yes you can learn on your camera but why for the few dollars paid for this app should you put 400 plus shutter counts on your camera for the sake of learning. Keep your camera for taking great shots. Job well done.

Fantastic Idea
Great idea, great app for the newer photographer, it's good to just play around and as its on iPhone it can be used out in the field. I will also be buying the app for my mac. Can't really think of anything that this app lacks...........maybe a couple more photos to choice from but that's not even an issue. Well Done.

Pinch vs slide
Sometimes application understands the Pinch-in or out (Focal) action as a finger Slide up or down (Distance). Please make the same control style for the Focal and Distance as for the rest controls. Otherwise is an amasing game to learn camera control.
