Want-to-help

The app logged me out, and now no matter how many times I try to log in, I can’t access my account. Also, the support email listed on the app doesn’t work (emails sent come back with an “email doesn’t exist” message; should that email end in “.com” or .app”?)

Terrible app, wish it worked

My invites were always difficult to open, my messages wouldn’t send half the time, the date idea suggestions with picking a specific date and time were pointless and never worked. Making the interface difficult to navigate made the entire experience terrible! Super frustrating and annoying, then my free trail ended and it’s $15 so I’m deleting it!

Waitlist??

I don’t understand why I’m still on the waitlist after like three months of signing up for an account

Response from developer

Hey! So sorry about that. Could you please send an email to hello@harvarddating.app from your official school address? Profiles with 3+ photos usually get approved within a couple of days, but it looks like we might’ve missed yours.

Buggy, glitchy, pointless

The many times this app has show different names for the same profiles is not even funny. Besides this, chats are notified late or not at all and at times the app send false text notifications.

Hey Peter Pan (great nickname btw)! Sorry to hear about your experience on Harvard Dating. We had a bug a few weeks ago where we would send daily matches but the app was stuck on your latest match. We've since then gone ahead and fixed it! If you still run into any issues, just reach out to us at hello@harvarddating.com and we would be happy to help. Good luck!

Awful

Made me answer 57 questions and once i finished answer app stopped working. When i opened the app again it resetted and asked me again 🤡 i deleted. Horrible app

Response from developer

Hey! I'm really sorry for the bad experience you had on Harvard Dating. We're a small team on campus and fixing bugs as soon as we can. If you reach out to me with your profile details at hello@harvarddating.com I can check to see if your answers were saved. Sorry again!

$15 Monthly Subscription is absurd

I understand you want to monetize, but $15 monthly is ridiculous. I wouldn’t even pay that yearly. Nobody will keep the app for longer than the trial period when you can use other dating apps for free

Response from developer

Hey, thanks so much for your feedback! We charge so that we can keep Harvard Dating independent, free from outside influence, and focused entirely on helping you meet great people on campus instead of endless swiping. That said, we never want cost to be a barrier, if $15 feels like a stretch, please email us at hello@harvarddating.com and we’ll do our best to help

$15 per month

$15 a month for an app that’s far worse than hinge

Thank you for your support and for sticking with us from the beginning! We’re constantly working to make the app better and ensure a more seamless experience for you

It doesn’t work yet. Bugs to work out

Downloaded after seeing a flyer. The first few days I would get one person per day, but knowing if you send or receive messages is unclear. The calendar function is cute but doesn’t confirm. - The last week, I get a text and notification “you should meet __” and when I go to check it out, no profiles are visible. I like the concept but need to work out bugs in the system so people can see matches, talk with the suggested person, and actually have notifications and people match up to the in app design.

Hi, I’m Umer, the founder. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out and I’m really sorry you’ve had a confusing and frustrating experience with the app. We’re already working on fixing these bugs and making the flow clearer. We just released a new version with these fixes. As you might know, we are a small team on campus, and our goal is exactly what you described to create an intentional and personalized dating experience. We don’t think the way large corporations have approached dating is correct or benefits love finding. We apologize for your early experience but we promise with each version it will continue to improve. If you run into any other issues or have ideas, you can reach out directly at hello@harvarddating.com, I’d love to hear from you and build this with you. Thank you for being part of our first users and helping us improve.
