Problemlos.

Great for Weddings

Used this before the CamRanger 2 came out. Loved it but the 2 has great new features faster speed.

Awesome on iPad

I've had my CamRanger for many years. So this review is really regarding the original Cam Ranger.

Over all I like it. Tech Support was good to me and responded quickly back when I was having an issue connecting to my Canon Ti3. So far it has work without issue on my 7D MK2.

Because I hadn't used it since up grading my iPhone, it needed to register again. I was in the field and wasn't able to register via cellular which was frustrating at the time.

On a iPad the app is great.

You can zoom in by double tapping. Nice for tweaking in the focus. Pinch zoom would be nice, perhaps this is more of a limitation of the camera than the app. Haven't been able to do rapid shooting, only allows single shot.

I would like to try out Cam Ranger 2, on day perhaps.

This is garbage

I invested nearly $450 in camranger and pthub360 and was managing to use it with on/off problems with connectivity and threading issues in app. However, the recent app update is horrible and probably not tested at all. I can no longer enter numbers and configure any of my timelapse configuration on tripod tab in the app. Nearly wasted 45 minutes on field doing all sort of things. Guys don’t buy or invest in this. I wished I had some sort of disabled auto update of my app on my iPhone.

iPad Pro (12,9 Zoll, 3. Generation)

Hallo,

Könnte es sein das ist beim iPad Pro (12,9 Zoll, 3. Generation) es nicht mehr funktioniert ? ich bekomme nämlich keine Verbindung mehr. Bei meinen alten iPads funktioniert alles noch einwandfrei.

Problems since IOS 13.1

Having issues since iPhone update. Constantly says it’s disconnected from the camera. One star until this is fixed.

Love the product. But needs an urgent update

I use it every day for work. Downloaded iOS13
yesterday.
You need to fix the app now. Crashes every time I open the app.

Love app but needs updated

Overall this is a good app and program. Love to see it keep up with new cameras, at least the Canon M50, which has been out over a year.

Practice makes perfect

I’ve had the ranger for a few years now, and just updated the software. It works fine with my Nikon D800 with an iPhone 7 Plus. One glitch is I had to go into settings and turn off wifi then turn it back on again so CamRanger can pickup the transmitter-receiver at the camera. Once you do that, open the App. It may take 20-30 seconds to connect as it does the “handshake”.
I have taken one star off because when shooting videos or photos, live view on the back of the cam is disabled. It would be nice to have this option even if it uses more battery.
And the battery that came with the unit had died. For now I am powering the on camera receiver with a power block connected to the mini USB charging port. Works fine this way too.

NOTE: No charger is supplied, just a mini USB to USB 2.0 cable so you can power it off another power supply or the USB port on your computer.

Hope this helps!

Bon outil mais...

... Il serait peut-être temps de le faire évoluer ? Dev please we bought this wifi link and app at a high price so we expect more updates, and a better user interface... But still a good tool, especially on a good monitor touch screen like last ipad

Great app

Have used this app since it first cam out and it works very well.
Has made it possible to photograph in ways previously not possible.

Needs urgent update

I love the features but the user interface of this application is outdated to say the least.
I hope that the prográmese design a new interface

Not free at all

App directs you to purchase their adapter £300 before allowing access

Works well but is super dated

This app looks like it was designed for the first version of iOS it is well overdue a re-design. Other than that it works well for still photography, it has proved to be an important part of my workflow especially as my Canon EOS 5D mkiii does not have WiFi built in. If this app is re-designed I would not hesitate to give it a 4 or 5 star review.

T5i?

Can you use this app if you manually hook up your iPhone via cord to camera then use as a monitor??

Works right out of the box

I have Nikon D750 everything works perfectly. Love it for night, macro and weird angle shots when i cant see the view finder or live view. Thank you.

Perfect tool for architecture and landscape

I used to drag my laptop and shoot tethered with CaptureOne in the field. I can now control my Nikon D810 with my IPad wirelessly. Easy to set up and use, I also have the app on my iPhone and MacBook. I would give it 5 stars but I haven't got focus stacking for macro shots to work to my liking but it just may be a learning curve. The Optional USB cable for Nikon is a must as it has a right-angle connection to the body and is significantly better than the crappy one supplied by Nikon

Does not work with 1DX

New update might have fixed an issue with the 1DX II, but it created issues with the fist generation 1DX. Does not read images from the second card at all, and now it doesn’t read new images from the first card either. There are issues with live mode freezing the app also.

Tolle App

Ich benutze den CamRanger in Verbindung mit einem iPad Pro und einer 6D Mark II. Einfache Installation und zuverlässige Funktion. Jetzt noch eine Version in Deutsch und es gibt den fünften Stern.
