Not Representative of the Level 1 Challenge Exam
I used this app to prepare for the Level 1 Challenge exam and unfortunately did not pass. The theoretical practice tests in the app turned out to be not very relevant to the actual Level 1 exam.
Most of the theory questions in the app focus mainly on Ohm’s Law and basic power formulas, while the real Level 1 exam included a large amount of electronics: transistors, diodes, thyristors, various DC circuits, different physical laws, as well as magnetism.
The theory questions on the exam were not extremely difficult, but I did not expect them to appear at all. Because of that, I was not properly prepared for this part of the exam.
The only part of the app that I found truly useful was the Canadian Electrical Code preparation, which was helpful.
Overall, the app may be useful for code practice, but it does not fully reflect the scope of the Level 1 theory exam.

Good, except today
Did a full length practice exam today. The app glitched multiple times and closed down on me. And the timer stopped working after the first glitch. Otherwise this app has worked well for me for the past few months.
Top notch
Best upgrade ever. Now i can reach from browser from my computer and having people to chat with is awesome. Bonus is AI teacher. Tried couple of times and been surprisingly good so far.
a must have for red seal prep
Practiced this every day before my red seal exam. Some of the questions were near verbatim to what I was seeing on here daily. I don’t think I would have scored as well if I wasn’t engaging myself with IP related questions throughout the week on top of class lessons!
I still do the practices to keep myself knowledgeable even though I’ve been licensed for 6 months!

Problems on IPad
Purchased the pro version on my iphone and went to download on my iPad and the Sign in with Apple ID function does not work. Would like to have the fixed asap.

The csa group has a practice exam that is significantly better this app Cec Dakota is the farthest thing from helpful for cfq prep

Lifetime membership?
Loved this app when I used it to study in for my exam in 2022. Passed first try but I re-downloaded it to refresh my memory on the codebook, and found I no longer have access even though I purchased lifetime access. Great app, disappointed that my lifetime membership has run out.
Great app for exam prep
This app is excellent for building confidence while preparing for my exam. What sets it apart is that it provides references to the relevant sections in the codebook for each question, making it incredibly helpful for resolving any confusion

I would recommend this app to any electrician whether you are construction or industrial! I am personally a huge fan of the “no codebook” questions, it’s great for when you don’t have a codebook in front of you!

This app is great. Pro version has tons of challenging questions along with hints and detailed explanations of how to find the answers properly. Customer service is also on point. Had to switch phones unexpectedly and the guys at Dakota Support were awesome with helping me get my purchase reactivated on the new device. Highly recommended.

Great Resource
Myself and a group of classmates made good use of this app in our training for our Red Seal exams. It was an incredibly useful resource and I would highly recommend it for any student preparing to write.
