Glitchy but doable
Object of the game: ... going out (Playing the last card in your hand, whether by melding or discarding) is the objective.
COMMENT: This version will not allow the last card to be melded. One is forced to discard your last card whether you can meld or not.
Threes: ... black three ( this is referred to as a stop card.)
COMMENT: In the Parker Bros. Canasta game. the stop card has a value of 5 points. One is not penalized more than 5 points if stuck with the stop in one's hand, however, this online version penalizes one 100 points for the black three. Also in the PB game, one can meld the stop cards (black threes in this game) on the last meld, but that is not how this game is played.
The Discard Pile: When a player takes the top card of the discard pile, he must be able to use the top card immediately.
COMMENT: I have observed my computerized partner take the top card and not play it as required.
GENERAL COMMENT: I had a game that would not allow me to end the game. I had what was needed to to out, but the computer would not allow me to go out. I had to play until the entire draw deck was used up.
GENERAL COMMENT: The tabletop layout is glitchy. Often I cannot discard a black 3 directly to the discard pile. Instead, the black 3 hangs at an angle below the cards in my hand. The turn is over but the card stays on the table, so I have to use the black 3 again in order to get rid of the black 3.
GENERAL COMMENT: If I have to look at my opponents tabletop to see what they have played, the computer hangs up and I have to "load game" to reactivate the action. T
hen I lose whatever move I had because it deals the cards out again for me from the discard pile, even though I had already been dealt cards from the discard pile. There needs to be a smoother way to see your opponents melded cards.
