Can’t collect coins anymore. Can’t play daily tournament anymore. Needs to be fixed badly. Deleted game until it gets fixed.
Will need some tweaking but a good first effort
I’ve been playing this game since it was a browser game on Facebook. Considering the alternatives (none), I’m glad this exists to represent Candlepin Bowling on iOS, but the app itself is going to need improvements.
The controls are very oversensitive and unwieldy in their current state. Positioning the ball before you throw it is haphazard, and if you don’t constantly hold your finger it will re-center itself which is annoying. There should be more control over horizontal positioning.
The other issue with the control is the strength of the ball release. If you do as much as slightly flick the ball vertically, it rockets off down the lane at warp speed. This makes aiming or fine adjustments to your throw nearly impossible. This leads to a lot of mis-throws.
Gameplay wise, it doesn’t appear that fouls are recognized when the ball hits pins after going into and out of the gutter.
In terms of the currency system, I mostly understand it but more explanation as to how it works could be helpful.

Challenge mode
Great App but the challenge mode scores are extremely high at times and not realistic. Maybe have them lower than 180, maybe high double digits trough maybe 120-130, seems more realistic.
Good start, but could use some tweaks
Graphics are decent, but you can’t change the position of the ball from the center of the lane, and there’s no speed control. Need to be able to control how hard the ball goes down the lane. Like to see where it goes from here.
Good game, bad physics
Please fix the physics in this game. My ball is constantly bouncing off into space or going the complete opposite way I’ve attempted to roll it down the alley. I love Candlepin but this game is painful to play at times!!!!!!!! FIX IT!

Candlepin Bowling
After moving away from New England and missing this sport, this app is great to see and be able to still enjoy the game.
Knowing this app is a work in progress, I hope to see this app grow and become even better than it is.

Good New England style bowling.
This is a different style of bowling. You get 3 throws and the pins that fell stay on the lane during those 3 shots to help you knocked down the other pins. It's harder than regular 10 pin bowling. I play this when I went to New Hampshire. It's challenging. This app is good game play.
