alright

tbh it’s not that bad really, just some enemy spam and a pretty easy final boss, other than that this game has some actual good art and level design in some of the early/mid levels, the only thing i really hate about it is the enemy spam like i mentioned earlier.

what the heck is this bro

the only thing that’s actually good about this game is the art. everything else is just… wow.
there’s this monster enemy that has NO COOLDOWN. he can attack you as much as you want if you’re not careful. and only 8 levels? and most of them have level 1 assets? yeah this game seems really rushed in general and to be honest the final boss is the easiest thing ever. also the ending cutscene takes WAYYYY longer than it should have. oh yeah i also hate the enemy spam in the final level (before the final boss). and there are these bears you free which just poof into nothingness when you save them. what was the point? and there are these bears that turned into zombie bears. this never gets resolved. like, ever. overall, even if it’s like, 1 dollar, it’s still kinda not worth it. i admit it IS better than action 52

i paid a dollar for trash

Body:
I downloaded Candy Bear thinking it’d be a cute platformer for kids. What I got was an 8-level descent into madness.

The game starts off innocent: colorful world, chill vibes. But by level 3, I’m dodging nightmare fuel monsters that move faster than the framerate. By level 8? I’m spammed by zombie bears that teleport if you blink too hard.

The music? Sounds like it was recorded in a haunted ice cream truck. It’s not “candy land”—it’s creepypasta carnage.

The final boss (a witch, apparently?) dies in one hit in Phase 1… but becomes an eldritch abomination with infinite HP in Phase 2. I beat her, somehow, only to be rewarded with a cutscene longer than Avengers: Endgame that CANNOT be skipped. I watched NPCs stand motionless. Some didn’t blink. One clipped into the floor. I aged in real life.

And the “holy candy artifact” is a poorly recolored lollipop with no stick. That’s not candy. That’s disrespect.

Replay value? NONE. You beat it once, and the app itself feels like it wants to uninstall out of shame.

Also, it’s labeled “Free” but asks for $0.99 to unlock the full game.
I paid it. That was my mistake.

Cute game!

Super cute and entertaining adventure platformer.

Plenty of levels to keep you busy, very nice graphics and sound, good controls, and overall nicely made game.

Would definitely recommend others try this game out!

Awesome game! Hours of endless fun😊

Great Platformer

Amazing grahics. Superb Gameplay. Finally a side scroll platformer for iOS!

Old school

Props to this game for being an honest-to-god sidescroller with bosses and everything. I'd love to see it with more fluid controls and animation, but it stands out for trying to rise above the less ambitious iOS landscape.

So much fun!

And we love the bear! Really entertaining, my sister is also really into it

Great game for kids

This is a good game for me to play with my kids. They love it.

Classic fun platformer

Controllers well and is responsive. Kind of weird that the zombies take time to hurt you. Was expecting it to be more like Mario

Fun platformer with great graphics

The games takes place in a beautifully made world. Game play is simple to pick up and cut scenes are nice too.

Cool

Nice game for everyone. Le gameplay is pretty fun and easy to play. Killing zombies and get candy was definitively fun. Nice one

Pretty cute

Nice graphics but controls could use some work. Cool little platformer.

My kids like it

This game helps me to interest my kids when we travel somewhere )

Cute

Super cute game. A lot of fun and could take up a lot of time in your day. The controls make the game a little more difficult, but I like it that way.

So Addictive

It is very cool and you just want to keep playing so you can get to the next level. Don't let the name fool you, it's cute, there are bears, there is candy, but it is not easy.

Favorite game.

I really really like this game. It has cute characters, and good animation and pretty hard.
