Great Little App
This is a great little app. Would love to see it have the ability to change background videos as the day progresses. So early morning through late evening videos of nature possibly.
Black screen on iPhone
I love this app and have it on a couple devices. Only reason review isn’t 5 stars is that on the newest iPhone 11 - the clock displays but only against a solid black background. Tried deleting reinstalling - same result. If a big fix comes out, I’ll be really happy

This app is perfect! I love the simplicity of it! I wish more apps were like this. It’s clean and easy. Pick your background and you’re ready to go. I look forward to seeing some more backgrounds in the future. I have just what I need right now though. Thank you

Don't get this app.
Luckily I got this for free, but it only has about 6 different themes! And it even says when you open it up that it uses a lot of energy, so plug it in a power source. What is an alarm if it's dead?

It does as promised. Until there are more options for video backdrops I probably won't use this app much, but aside from the very limited choices for backgrounds this seems like a good app.
Good start, needs update and improvements!

Candy clock is the closest I've come to finding that perfect "night time ambient chill clock" app I've been searching for.
I wanted a clock app that had different night /chill/nature/space/etc video backgrounds, so I could put my iPod touch in the dock, charge it at night and see the time. Also to be able to leave it on during the night and wake to an alarm. In essence, i want a clock radio with say a star "hyperspace" video, or an ocean waves loop, etc. behind the clock.
A couple of the videos are really good, like the jelly fish one, the others I don't use at all. (like the dryers one, and the ocean one, which is very bland, not an interesting framing, or color)
The clock itself is perfect, nice and big, simple, the white shows up well against dark backgrounds.
Some of the loop points can definitely be improved, as they are way too obvious. Like in the fish video and library. To the developer Brian - please spend some time on that, cut in the least obvious place and maybe try a quicker disolve. There is a way to edit a video so it loops seemlessly. This should be the MAIN goal for anyone making this kind of app. You do NOT want to see where it loops.

It's about time to update and improve this app. Please add the promised new videos
Videos I would like to see in the update:
-A better ocean loop with an orange sky & setting sun
-A blue night ocean with foam & sand
-Flying through space, stars.( I realize that this would have to be an animation and may be beyond your scope, but for me this is the number one video I would want)
-Flying through a colorful galaxy, stars, planets
-Blue sky and clouds floating above on a summer day
-Rain on green leaves
-How about another jelly fish one, keeping it real, like at the Monterey bay aquarium - blue background with orange jellyfish
These all should be on the dark side as they will run during the night, and the white clock needs to be clearly seen.
Features I would like to see:
Extremely important, and to make this clock competitive amongst the competition, we need an alarm that allows you to use music from your iPod. I think this Is key. The existing alarm is terrible. Let us use our own music as an alarm!
I realize that it's not possible (currently) to have iPod music playing while the videos are, but when this changes I suggest the developer jump on it and incoporate
One last thing: i think there should be a corner or double tap feature so you can access the menu to change the video or whatever. I can't shake my iPod when it's docked and charging. Please add that, it's vital.
All in all this is a great app worth the .99 cents. Just a bit more work and it can be truly great.
I think if the developer took the app "Relax Worlds" and added a clock on top, it would be a goldmine! This would be exactly what I want, and I'm sure for others out there too.

REALLY COOL APP NO OTHER LIKE IT
I've been searching everyyywhere in the app store for something like this but cooler and there's nothing! Some people are getting really picky with this, whining about loop points.. seriously. itd be super cool if there were more video options, since I think a few of them are weird.

Brilliant ambient, live video backgrounds acompany you during your day. I usually have my iphone plugged in and sitting on my desk while I work. It's the lovliest app!

I wish it had more options but it's great at the price. The videos are pretty and the clock is readable. The whole thing is a great "dock" application - something nice for my desk when I'm working.

-there IS a lite version, but insted of being "lite" "free" or "freeeeee" it's "mini" it has only one background
-it does take a long time to download. Between 2 1/2 minutes and 5 minutes

Need ipod audio button
This app rocks. But it needs to be modified to enable the ipod app during visual playback! Currently i can only listen to the sounds embedded into candy clock which just does not do it for me. @ work no docking station = no music during candy clock operation & that reallys ucks bc the app is so cool
