Hello, Becky. Thanks for looking at our new app! We're still working on how to best position the service. I promise we'll get better :) Think about Parallel more as a communication tool rather a traditional dating app that discovers new people. Parallel can be in fact a LITERAL dating app, a "relationship compass" that allows you to very quickly unpack tricky expectations and conversations that might not normally arrive until weeks/months/years later--directly with another user in-person on a date. Dates often want to put the best foot forward yet that sometimes means avoiding the hard conversations (which can be a tedious drag) which are critical to the foundation of any relationship. Parallel allows you to stress test a relationship early before huge amounts of heart and time are invested.
