Amazing for iPad!

I’m an artist and I’ve recently started working on animatic reels for my Instagram and not only is this app better suited for iPad (I used the original CapCut for iPhone and it was unfortunately not as great but still a good app) so when this was released, I jumped right on it! It’s perfectly suited for Ipad users and a bit hard to find out what to do or how to use it as there is limited information on this new app but it’s easy to use if you poke around a bit.

The ONLY gripe I have with this app is the audio, as you can only use audio for clips in your photo library instead of importing audio files like in the app. I hope this gets amended soon as finding videos to download from specific platforms and websites can be frustrating to download on their own. 😭😭😭😭

But I still give it a 10/10!

Was amazing! until it wasn’t…

I never write reviews. Like ever. but this has seriously been frustrating me for a month now!! Look, this app is amazing as an ipad user who was looking for a substitute for the regular laggy capcut app, which is especially janky on an ipad. Instant upgrade!! Works beautifully, and was impressed by the pc like features and functionality for basic editing (as far as capcut goes) And im no beginner editor. I have experience with Am, Ae, VSP, and well…capcut. ive had capcut for 5 years, on all devices, and this has been by far the smoothest capcut experience yet. except, theres one issue. I needed an app that could handle simple long form video editing, I already knew there was no shot in Am, so I found this. I was trying to make a tutorial in which ive been meaning to make for a year now. But theres this reacurring problem where the preview screen will just freeze like 20 seconds into opening the project, and I have to restart the whole app. Like just the preview screen. Everything else for the most part runs fine. This made it near impossible to continue editing. This started happening when I was well into and almost finished with the video I was making. I give up and decide to leave it as is, Im practically done, and I go to export it. It hasn’t gone past 8%. it fluctuates between 4%-8% and freezes somewhere between those numbers for like forever. hours, ive waited. Ive tried everything at this point, anything to just make it export and nope! I’ve updated the app today in hopes it would finally work but no. Ive even tried screen recording it but due to the first freezing bug i mentioned earlier, it was no use. Im thinking of just letting entire days worth of hard work and planning go to die because I cannot get this video off of this app. How long was the video you ask? 28mins long…I know. But it was not heavy in editing at all, and either way, I expect the app to work as It should?? Capcut really needs to get their act together. Both in this, and in the many annoying and outraging updates they have made between the time I downloaded to now.

Best app ever!

I had iMovie for a while and have used it a lot, but it really had no creative freedom. Then my friends started texting me their CapCut edits and I had to see what it was all about. I absolutely love the app!!! It gives more freedom and I love the effects. So far i haven’t ran into any pro features so yay. I can add music and text and effects anywhere I want no problem. One thing I wish is that you can cut out stuff inside a clip

One of the BEST video editing apps out there!! But one thing!!!!!

As a former video editor, I think that this app has it all! With no ads, no watermark, and all the features are free! But there is just one thing…IT TAKES UP WAY TOO MUCH STORAGE!!! So please try to do something about that!

for ppl who make content/edit this is for u

likeeeee capcut rlly is an amazing platform for if u need to be ur own editor and don’t feeling taking an entire course or setting aside money to pay for things like premiere pro. it has a simplified interface that is easy to follow especially if u have used platforms like imovie but i like how it feels simplified but you still have a wide variety of features to choose from that make your videos still look polished even if you haven’t put in 500+ hours of effort into them. to be brief, she’s tea!!

So-so app

Moved from the og capcut app on mobile which i have used for like 5 years to here after experimenting with the actual pc version which I thought was super good. At first I thought Capcut Pad was super nice. It actually felt like I was editing with a professional software like AfterEffects or divinci. First few minutes was great, I got used to the new interface and all the new features that was on here was such a nice upgrade and saved me lots of time. HOWEVER, more I got into the edit process the more I got more frustrated. It seemed that they simply transferred the PC version of capcut into this mobile version (which i’m sure they did) and put little to no thought into it. The buttons are SO small that I kept misclicking and dragging everything on accident. Also it was so tedious going from one menu into the next with all the buttons you had to click. Also, the graphs, the SAME graph presets from the og capcut honestly looked off and strange or maybe its just me who knows. Additionally, it’s still laggy which also frustrates me. Sorry but ALSO my issue with the timeline, WHY CAN’T THE TIMELINE MOVE AS THE PLAYHEAD MOVES?? Anyways the point that I’m trying to make is that the BUTTONS ARE SO SMALL and trust me I have small fingers and a relatively normal sized ipad screen (11 inches) and just the lack of thought for the mobile experience is just so frustrating which is why I gave it the rating I did. Is the app good besides that? Yes it’s amazing, it’s the upgrade I’ve been waiting for a long time. Quality is way better and it’s great. Anyways, capcut team, if you see this, PLEASE resolve this and listen to what the audience has to say cuz I’m genuinely so frustrated of the tiny buttons like the beats and the lack of thought into adapting this interface to be more mobile-friendly.

Definitely use

So basically this app if your not old enough for regular CapCut or if you want more a challenge? But once you figure it out super easy!! And if you just wanna edit like yourself then you can do that to you can use AI or don’t or templates but i would use

Better than the mobile app but needs work

Does a good job of upgrading from the mobile version to be more desktop like but definitely still has plenty of bugs. Lags when adjusting clip size/position, issues with alignment grids not going away, and the touch screen needs some tweaking with things like double click(right click) and multi selection.

Please read this! Honest review! 🤩🤩🤩

I first had iMovie but then my cousin told me about CapCut I was surprised because it is FREE! You can pay but you don’t have to to make great videos. And there are NO ADS at all! I really like the stickers option too. I also like the music,🎶it is hard to find specific things but there are so much more great options! The templates are also pretty cool. Thank you CapCut for this cool app! 😎

idk

so i figured out how to get graphs i think, you have to hold the key frame button, however it only has linear (the default), ease in, ease out, and ease. Nothing special and frankly it doesn’t look much different with them. Wish they had more options, otherwise this would be a flat 5-star.
I figured out how to get graphs. First, add two keyframes. Then, hold the keyframe button. Somewhere there should be a row of 4 small buttons with graph-looking images. Tap the 1st one and there is a set of graphs. My complaint is that NO FLOW 2. that was basically the most used one in the OG one… hopefully they add flow 2 back because the other ones won’t cut it.
Update, i can no longer use graphs except for the normals, making my edits very bland. I can open the graph menu, but i can’t scroll up to the top - the scale option- where it actually counts what graph i use. :P pls fix this

Best editing app

Hi, I'm Aubrey and I'm ten years old.
when I first got CapCut pad, I've got the hang of it. This really is the best app to edit with. I've been making my own show, called "𝓑𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓲𝓮𝓼" and its about two best friends who own a horse stable with a horse named, Mane. With CapCut pad I could add intro music and ending music and I made my first episode. Thank you for making CapCut pad.

I need them to add flow 2 to this version I beg please add it

I’ve made hundreds of CapCut edits, am a pro user and have been using it for years, but lemme tell u the ONLY reason I don’t rly use desktop version is because FRICKIN FLOW 2 ISNT ON THERE💔💔Like everybody uses flow 2 bro pls just add it I need it to live, I beg of u to add it on here it’s like the only graph present that I use, why do u have all the stupid ones on here but not flow 2, like wdym u have flow one added but not flow 2🙏😭Add it please omg im tired of being stuck to mobile version but I can’t recreate it on desktop for the life of me, just do it it’s the only graph I and a lot of other ppl use for keyframes add itttt🙏🙏🙏

This is the best CapCut I’ve ever had

I was looking at apps and I saw CapCut Pad and I decided to download it and I never realize that I would get pro for free I guess? I am starting to use this for editing and more stuff, especially motion blur, but also CapCut (not the desktop version)needs to stop making so many things that were free pro I don’t really know what else to say so I’m just gonna stop this review.

Overly congested UI and too sensitive for ipad, the phone app is better on iPad this app is for PC

The UI isn’t intuitive, the video screen size is about 1x1 inch, it’s impossible to see what you’re editing and you can’t edit in full screen or even select position and it remember that position when you exit full screen like the phone app can, doesn’t allow you to make small adjustments without completely moving everything around so you’re just back to guessing what position it was in again. Like let me close the windows when I don’t need them to make more room for other stuff. Only works in landscape adding to the lack of intuitiveness, the original app is way better if you’re using an iPad, this would work on a PC with like a 30 inch + screen. when making precise adjustments or trying to align images in your video it will move from your desired position when you lift your finger from the screen, it’s clearly not designed to be used for touch screen. It took me an hour to add an overlay to the left and right of a 30 second clip because I had to keep adjusting the position since it wouldn’t stay aligned when I lifted my finger, the same task took me 5 minutes in the phone app version on my iPad. It might work better with a mouse but that 100% defeats the purpose of using your iPad to do it if it cant work correctly from anywhere without a mouse.

Why was it so complicated

I’m just a small YouTuber trying to make videos on a laggy IPad and when CapCut gave me the option to download this I thought it would be exactly like it but I was wrong. The text was glitching and everything was a lot more confusing than ever. When I clicked “edit” it gave me only 2 options for text or images. Everything was scattered around and not organized the people who said this was the best are probably bots.

Decent, needs more updates.

These past few days, I've been trying out Capcut Pad and it seems like a step up from the Mobile Capcut App, bringing in a desktop feel. However, this app lacks a few features as well from Mobile Capcut like custom graphs and having the ability to keep only the stroke and not the actual text. I hope to see future updates in the future bringind those features as well as 3D elements. Additionally, this app is very laggy and hard to maneuver through. It took me a while to finally find the graph presets. Therefore, I also hope to see them add an easier ui.

Needs better UI

While I like being able to edit like I’m on a laptop, it is bothersome that you can’t change around the editing windows. I would rather give space to something else than the details of my video. I wish you could move around the different boxes. It is new, so I’ll give it time, but if the editing screen was customizable, it would be great. Going back to the regular version for now.

Graphs

Overall love the idea, works fine, and it might just be me, but I can’t for the life of me find where to do graphs. When editing having the basic zoom in isn’t good enough and my edits look plain. I have clicked every button and couldn’t find it. I think we need a better walk through since it is formatted differently than the mobile version.
