Caprine Compass

Caprine Compass helps dairy goat families, breeders, exhibitors, and 4-H projects keep herd information organized in one place. Track • Plan • Care • Grow with practical tools built around day-to-day dairy goat management. Keep goat profiles, pedigrees, weights, health and care notes, breeding information, dairy production, show results, tasks, goals, photos, documents, project finances, reports, and project records connected to the animals they belong to. Caprine Compass supports shared family access with role-based permissions. Adults and invited teen exhibitors can work from the same family herd while sensitive administration and financial tools remain appropriately restricted. Key capabilities include herd profiles, multi-generation pedigrees, health/care/growth records, breeding and kidding tracking, dairy production, show planning and results, tasks and goals, family collaboration, Dairy Goat Learning Center materials, spreadsheet import, reports, backups, photos/documents, notifications, and Offline Fair & Barn Mode. Direct account creation is for adults age 18 or older. Teen users ages 13–17 may join an adult-managed family only through an invitation and with parent/guardian permission. Children under 13 may not create or operate their own Caprine Compass account. Caprine Compass is operated by Vaught Family Farm, LLC.
