Frustrating to use and impossible to bid or buy
I have an account that works on the browser version, but the app won’t validate my email address to let my login. I see the message that an email has been sent, but it never has.
DANGEROUS - user warning
Oh my DAYS; this is a great app, but also a fabulous firm & infrastructure behind it. UPSIDE; hundreds of hours a month (no exaggeration) lost down worm holes of fantasy car buying, brilliant car selling counsel & genuine buying community with good rules & arbitration if deals get stuck after a deal is stuck.
I’ve sold a car and definitely done better than if I’d use Satan’s auto-trader. DOWNSIDE; I’ve (a) had no sleep (b) burned no small amount of my children’s inheritance (c) been ….err::.:a little evasive on the certainty of the new kitchen promised to my partner and (d) purchased 3 cars I didn’t need in 2 auctions and one classified in two months since I got irredeemably lost to car and classics.
The app is PERFECT. The selling community in my 3-cars-purchased-6-cars-bid are honest and self-declaring flaws with willing transparency is PERFECT and my lived experience correct has shown that the people behind it arbitrate and help bridge whatever small gaps naturally happen between buyers and sellers. I fear for my bank balance. I fear for my marriage. I’ve already lost any chance of my children having anything to inherit other than an SLKAMG55 (why oh why?) a forgeye Sprite (unusual daily) and a Mini Cooper (slightly hard to justify when I have two).
The AppStore usually rates the technical elegance & surety of the tech; C&C is very good on that front, but the community that uses it seems to feed the other side perfectly.
The only downside is that I have become permanently, irredeemably and deliciously lost to needless and unjustifiable multi-car purchases.

Constantly have to check the app or website as notifications of a message never come through and when they do they could be hours old. Makes me wonder how many sales are lost through this

Worked fine before the latest update now it never loads properly and is incredibly frustrating. I have deleted it. Shame.

App freezes each time you click on a car, it's fine if you save car and view but having to restart the app each time is annoying
this App continuously hangs
I like the app, but it continuously hangs whilst using
Saved tab doesn’t scroll
This is a good app and generally functions well but on the ‘saved’ tab you now can’t scroll down through the vehicles saved - it’s frozen on the first 8 (ish) cars

Hi and thank you for your feedback, and apologies for that bug - the transition to iOS 26 meant that some code in that view didn't act the way it should once the screen filled up with saved items, and we didn't manage to catch this in time that update. We fixed this shortly afterwards and all versions since should now work as expected. The sure regularly locks up, l even deleted and reloaded the App, no better.
Flawed Auctions
The auction listings are generally good, the commissions charged to buyers is a seriously flawed calculation. A fixed commission puts sellers at a disadvantage when they reduce their reserve as the charge to buyers doesn’t reflect the new pricing… this certainly puts me off and as a buyer of quite a number of vehicles from the site it’s frustrating.
Other sites allow the community to post comments without having to go through a censor! Cars & Bids should learn from highly successful online auctions like Bringatrailer.com

Hangs
Since ios26 it just hangs cant search. Removed and reinstalled and just the same😤
Useless
Tried loading the app many times - each time the same result. App loads ok, but every time you try and search for anything, the app freezes completely.
Descriptions!
Recently, all the vehicle descriptions have disappeared! All that is left are the photos. Meaning the app is useless. One has to go to website to get details of the cars. Hello, is anybody there? Wake up!
