User reviews

Simple, easy to use, saves battery and privacy

After spending hours looking for a simple, one-time purchase, non-gps app for tracking vehicle mileage for reimbursement and tax deduction purposes, I finally found DriveLog. It checks all the boxes for me, including being able to export the recorded mileage for the quarterly report I am required to submit. It takes just a matter of seconds to key in the info but saves me hours from keying in the mileage later into a spreadsheet at the end of the quarter. GPS tracking apps eat up battery life and risk personal privacy. DriveLog protects both by keeping the app simple and easy to use.

Response from developer

Thank you for your thoughtful review. I’m glad DriveLog is exactly what you were looking for: simple, easy to use, and a one-time purchase that helps you stay on top of mileage for reimbursement and tax deduction. I also appreciate you highlighting the battery and privacy benefits. Exporting your recorded mileage for quarterly reporting is one of the key features I built DriveLog to support, so it’s great to hear it saves you time. Thanks again for choosing DriveLog and for sharing your experience.

Can’t use it even once

Downloaded the app. It looked good but before I could even use it, it was wanting me to pay for it. I couldn’t get past the pay screen to even test it. I really don’t want to buy something if I can’t even see if I like it.

Response from developer

Dear user, I understand that you like to try it first. But you can use the free trial to try it. I’m working on a feature so you can try the app during onboarding like we have in our other app Bleep List. If you send an email to our support we can notify you when it’s ready. Kind regards, Maarten

Doesn’t log date properly

Not only can you not click to see what you had a trip for if you need to real quick pull something up, maybe you have mileage for one business and then mileage for another business… But everything from 2024 changed to February 1, 2025 .. or maybe it’s written as January 2, 2025 and a day is written into international format, either way this is no good I now have to figure out what day I drove what miles

Response from developer

Thank you for rasing this issue. Yes there was a problem with dates. This should only affect displayed dates and not actual stored dates. Please let me know if this still affects you so I can hopefully resolve the problem. This problem should be resolved.

Simple, straightforward

This is a nice straightforward way of keeping track of my business miles
