Horrible service app, of course it's the chosen one for side gig jobs
Every time i get an oil change it's a 50/50 if it'll go smooth or get held up forever within "the system" for approvals etc. Legit have to boot up the app and process as I'm driving to the location as it takes a solid TEN MINUTES (if not a pinch more) to load up on the check in screen. With errors popping up in between (ignore those mostly) and just keep waiting. EVERY shop i ever go to has zero idea on any process electronically and the frustration is clearly visible on the associates face. Excellent reception and even on WiFi it takes 10 minutes or more.
I don't know what else to say other than everything on this app is about as backwards as it can get. Nothing run smoothly.
Had to go to a different shop for an alignment today. They said the app checked me in five total times on their system. Then when I checked in it disappeared and hasn't generated yet.
You seriously just waste more time so be prepared for dial up speed service from the app and processes.

DO NOT USE THEM, THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME $360 FOR A NEW CAR BATTERY AND OVER CHARGED ME FOR OTHER THINGS I DIDN'T NEED/WANT GOT CHARGED $37.64 FOR A BATTERY TEST THAT I DIDN'T WANT OR ASK FOR, $87 FOR AN ENGINE AIR FILTER AFTER THE SHOP TOLD ME THAT WAS THE PRICE FOR BOTH CABIN AND ENGINE AIR FILTERS AND WAS CHARGED A $10 TRANSACTION FEE! Total Scam
I booked a full brake repair on the app with a Pep Boys that had a special. The Pep Boys did only the back brakes and took the entire amount. I contacted CarAdvise because the pricing was done through them. They said that’s normal and the shop charged me correctly. Such a scam. Don’t use
Discount instead of time
3 hours! I’ve been waiting for an oil change for 3 hours! And all this because the application system works slowly, coordination, confirmation of payment from my side, confirmation from the application (and it’s good if they don’t have system failures). I’ve only been waiting for payment confirmation for 2 hours. I’m angry, hungry and lost a lot of time. Of course, no one is in a hurry with the service, because they don’t earn as much as they would like.

Good discount, awful experience
I went to a Monro in Wappingers Falls, NY as recommended by this app for an oil change discount, but the hostility wasn’t worth the savings and I will not return. I experienced comically bad treatment from the moment I walked in by the man working the desk, who yelled at me for parking in a spot on the side of the building where the only other car was, instead of the front. He was not only rude and condescending to me while being super tender and sweet to the only other customer in there (a man), he was even angrier when he found out I went through caradvise, and it soon became obvious that was because he didn’t know how to use the system and was taking it out on me. He grabbed my phone right out of my hand at one point without permission to look at my screen (which I had tried to show him 10 min earlier and he dismissed me with a wave and said “that means nothing to me”…I guess it did huh?) bc he couldn’t figure his own out, and was melodramatically sighing and huffing the whole time. How original, an insecure man trying to cover up his incompetence through misogyny. I’ll never use caradvise again. No discount is worth being deeply humiliated for two hours, for doing absolutely nothing other than walking into a shop with a desk worker who hates women.

Very disappointed
App quoted me a price of $67 to have the valve replaced. It ended up being like $170. I called them and their response was “oh sometimes our prices are wrong”…

The whole process was a pain in the rear.
I dropped off my car at 10am and was told it would take 3-4 hours to swap the rear two tires. I called at 430 pm to check and they said they couldn’t do just the rear tire as it’s an AWD car and all four tires need to be replaced. I’m not sure how they couldn’t call and tell me this earlier or at the time of drop off.
If you have approved vendors then they should be awesome. Your app is clunky, and the repair shops don’t know how to use it.

I booked a wheel alignment through this app at the listed price and dropped off my car the night before so the shop could start the work at 9:00 AM as scheduled. By 11:00 AM, I checked my phone only to find out they hadn’t even started, claiming they were waiting for me to “approve” the service again — even though I had already booked and confirmed it through the app. That makes no sense.

After starting the job, they sent me a second invoice with additional fees, saying that the wheel alignment required an extra reset — which I find to be complete nonsense. These extra costs were never mentioned upfront, and the app’s pricing feels misleading.
This app lacks transparency and plays pricing games after the booking. I strongly recommend avoiding it. What’s the point of showing a price upfront if they’re going to add charges later?

Price gauging
They give low price and jack up prices when you visit. Also pressure you to add more services. The price you pay for appointment are just estimates and shops will resend the estimates with higher amounts. You will be forced to pay else you need to pay shop the “investigation” fees.they don’t report to Carfax. That way you will be missing maintenance info when some one in future pulls the report

Don’t waste your time. App promises all these saving but when I got to NTB, they said the CarAdvise’s account was inactive. There was no way to charge caradvise and I’d have to pay myself. The only thing they could do with the account was wave taxes. Surprised Instacart partners with them and judging by reviews, I’m not the only person wondering this

Downloaded the app but puts me to a browser? I expect my app to log me in not sign me out everytime, thats probably one of the dumbest features you guys have literally took me 30 minutes to log in cause it keep logging me out Im just here because this is the only benefits Uber has but still disappointing.

The Firestone I went to wasn't in the program or included in this app
This app has a lot of work to do. One day, perhaps it may be good. But that day is not today. Since the Firestone I went to on N. Main St. in Manteca California is not on the app, I have to pay out-of-pocket full with no discounts from them or DoorDash who promised there would be a dinky $10 off discount with CarAdvise. But the girl in the support chat was wonderful. Just that what she said didn't work.
AND, came back to make it one star less because the oil change COSTS MORE with this than without, AND the DoorDash discount NO WHERE TO BE SEEN. VERY BAD.
