Should give it 5
I used to play this with my late wife. I have been enjoying this. Perhaps a few issues, but not many and the ai players are most the time good opponents. I would give it 5 because of the 1 and 2 star review being overboard. I enjoy it.
Love the game but
Loved the old version that is unavailable now, this new “improved” version sucks, I can not shrink the board down to see all the tiles that have been played, its difficult to tell where the pieces are, I do not have the expanded pieces I had purchased on the old version, you cant even input your name for your player or choose your piece color - I am so upset the old version stopped working 😡

Use the original art please
Game is overall good, but this 3D modeled tiles are atrocius and unrecognizable. Please make a patch with original 2D art from the board game like it was made in the old app. Or at least redraw it if you don’t have right for some reason. We don’t need this ugly 3D models, nobody likes it. I wish it had more newer expansions, but it has all must have expansions (first two expansions and river), so it’s playable.

Please 🙏 bring back the old version as an option
Loved the old version so much. Could you make it an expansion pack ?? This version has too many modern bells and whistles and has lost the old world charm and ease of play.
Its cool but has problems
The servers have been down for at least 2 months now, haven’t been able to create a new game.
The good:
It is Carcasonne. The colors are bright, there are simple animations. It looks nice and plays fine on both my pc and my phone.
It works with a ps5 controller fine.
You can play local or online. Locally you can go up against a few other ai, you can set their difficulty.
The bad:
Mostly online issues.
The server seems unstable. If you are playing multiple games at once and it becomes your turn in a different game, it has to reload the game you are in.
Make your password easy to type because it logs you out often.
You cannot add computers online!
Playing with dragons makes the game fail eventually. Over about a years time my friends and I have not been able to complete a dragon game.
This game has so much potential but the fact that it says last updated 4 years ago does not give me hope things will ever change.

Great Game - Terrible Servers
Carcassonne is a fun board game, but for a paid app with paid expansions, it’s not unreasonable to expect the app to work. The games get errors and crash mid-way through, and that’s when the servers are working. I haven’t been able to start a game for a week now. It’s brutal.
Can’t connect to server
It’s been like a month; come on guys, get it fixed.

The app developer doesn’t respond when the game has bugs. They haven’t updated or improved the game in four years. They’re cool with glitches and bugs. They’re cool with bullying and foul language in the game.

The app has many bugs and the servers are not working.
Two major issues. P&D and server login.
Updated: for the love of programming, fix your *bleep*ing code. Princesses and the Dragon is beyond broke. Your private match creation is now beyond broken. Why can’t you fix your *bleep*ing code? I’ve already boycotted everything Asmodee. What else do I need to do to get your attention?
The CodeMonkey version never crashed like this and never had login issues. Two years and no updates to fix either issue. Asmodee only cares about profit. Not the players of their games. I’ll never buy an Asmodee board game or software again.

Great game. Poor service
Been playing this for years now but last year and a half servers are terrible, a lot of disconnection issues.
Pro: you can play for free without ads
Cons: I’ve payed for expansion but can barely play anymore because of the issues mentioned above

Won’t log on
This game has off and on issues with their servers. Love the game play but I haven’t been able to log on to play in a week, super frustrating. If they could fix it, would give this 5 stars
Servers need work.
The game itself works fine - if the servers are up. Otherwise it just keeps giving an error message and the game is unable to be played. Devs need to lift their game.

server down or disconnected
Bring back the old version or get another developer to make a new one. This version is awful, even when you do connect the graphics and game play are far worse than the version from 10 years ago!
Connection issues
I get the server sometimes has to go down for maintenance but it’s been days & days now since I could connect. Previously you could at least play offline without logging in when the server is down. This time can’t connect at all. Not what I expect for a paid for game - it’s otherwise really enjoyable.

Servers appear to be permanently down
App has always been super buggy and had regular server outages, but it appears that the developers have finally given up entirely. Servers have been down for at least a week straight.

…it’s working. So many bugs - login issues, games not starting, etc., that it gets frustrating.
