Improved functionality over other card centering apps
I would choose this app over competing apps every time. I'm actually shocked to see comments complaining about this being a "copycat" app when the functionality of this app over the "standard" is much better for several reasons. First, allowing users to manually rotate the image and adjust skewness is a game changer. Second, company grading standards are not locked behind a paywall, and instead update dynamically as centering is adjusted. Lastly, adding two control points per card edges promotes consistency. Future improvements I would love to see from this app are: 1) allow users to add data for the reverse side of a card after it's been saved, 2) reduce the size of the arrow icons for adjusting centering (and/or make them semi transparent), 3) provide an undo button to allow users to undo any accidental changes to the rotation or skewness of the image, and 4) allow users to toggle the company grading standards pane on and off so that users can avoid potential bias when modifying centering to meet certain grading standards. Thanks for this great app!

Copy and worse version of original
Just a copy of the original card centering app and these doesn’t perform nearly as well. On top of that the paid pricing is just absurd.
A copy with a subscription
I was hoping this could be a solid alternative to the original Card Centering Calculator app, especially since that one doesn’t let you save scans into a “collection” which I would like to do. Unfortunately, this app falls short in several key areas. First, it doesn’t use the iPhone’s ultra wide camera with macro mode, so scans come out blurry. The auto-detection feature also doesn’t work reliably. Worst of all, it constantly nags you to subscribe to a monthly plan. I am not paying monthly for an app that is essentially a copy of the free one. There are better alternatives.

Response from developer
Thank you for your feedback. As a solo developer, I’m focused on creating a better card centering calculator app and have recently updated the camera to use the ultra-wide lens with macro mode when available to improve scan quality. If you could share the specific cards you tested, I would be happy to refine the auto-detection algorithm for those cases. Please note that subscribing is not required to use the main “card centering” feature. I appreciate your support and am always looking for ways to make the app better—feel free to contact me directly at info@ardasen.com.
