CardCue Pro: Gift Card Wallet

A big one this time. Most of it is what you asked for. NEARBY REMINDERS THAT ACTUALLY STICK The whole point of me is a quiet nudge when you walk near a store where your money is waiting. That nudge now survives restarts, reboots, and me being closed for days. Cards remember where their store is from the moment you save them, and if you save one while standing near its store, the first chirp (my word for a notification) can arrive while the card is still warm. I also got much better at recognizing the stores themselves. The one named after its neighborhood, the franchise with an owner's name in front, the theater with a screen count after it: all of those used to slip past me. They do not now. A MAP OF WHERE YOUR MONEY IS Open the map and every place you have credit is a pin wearing that store's own logo. Tap one and I add up everything waiting for you at that location, in a single panel, with a mark on anything close to expiring. Directions are one more tap. YOU PICK HOW A CARD GETS READ A new switch sits right on the camera: smart scan, which reads the card with cloud AI, or on-device, which keeps the photo on your iPhone. It resets to your default every scan, and the info button explains the trade. Free wallets get 5 smart scans to start you off. On-device scanning stays unlimited and free forever, and Pro makes smart scan unlimited too. When the free smart scans run out I say so BEFORE you take the photo and ask which way you want to go, instead of quietly downgrading. I ALSO STOPPED READING THE WRONG CARD If another card is lying next to the one you are photographing, its barcode no longer ends up on your card. And if the two photos you hand me turn out to be two different cards, I use the one you meant instead of blending them into one. A wrong barcode is worse than no barcode, so when I cannot tell, I say so instead of guessing. CARDS FROM YOUR EMAIL, WITHOUT THE ERRAND Most people's first gift card is not in a drawer, it is in their inbox. When you add a card, I can walk you through pulling one straight out of Mail: search "gift card", share the email to me, done. (I cannot read your email. You pick what to send, one message at a time.) CARDS THAT WORK AT SEVERAL STORES GOT SMARTER Each brand logo now shows its alert state at a glance: full color means chirp me here, faded means stay quiet. You choose which ones speak up, in the card's editor. Tap any brand in the strip to find that store near you. And you can crown a different brand as the card's headline, colors and all. SLIDING A CARD IS DELIBERATE NOW Hold a card for a beat, feel the tap, then slide left or right for its actions. Scrolling never fights you anymore: touch anywhere, move up or down, and the wallet just scrolls. I ASK FOR LESS, LATER No wall of permission screens at install. Past the camera the scanner needs, my only two asks, notifications and location, wait until your first card is already saved, when saying yes visibly does something for you. Answer one and I stop asking about it. The motion access some of you were asked about is gone unless you turn on Driving Priority in Settings yourself. And my one question about anonymous usage numbers waits until the fourth day you open me, with a card already saved: it is off unless you say yes, "no" is a real button, and I only ask once. AND THE SMALL THINGS Your wallet total is always readable: it grows and shrinks so the whole number fits, and never gets cut off. Cards arrive wearing their brand's colors instead of picking them up later. Your saved card photos show the store's logo. Coach Cue's thoughts are readable in dark mode.
