Scan a receipt, import a statement, and see where your money actually goes. RECEIPT SCANNING, REBUILT Tap + and the camera is already open. One tap of the shutter reads the receipt and drops you into the expense form with the amount, date, merchant, card and category filled in — nothing is saved until you tap Save. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, the on-device model tidies up the merchant name and picks a category; everything still works without it. You can also pick a photo from your library, or switch to manual entry from any screen in the flow. IMPORT A CARD OR BANK STATEMENT Bring in a whole month at once from a PDF statement. CardDog reads the transactions, cleans up cryptic merchant lines like "SQ *BLUE BOTTLE 1234 OAKLAND CA" into "Blue Bottle Coffee", and suggests a category for each one. Password-protected statements are supported. Nothing is imported until you approve it. Every row can be unticked and its merchant or category edited first, and anything that looks like a purchase you've already recorded starts unticked with the match called out, so a scanned receipt doesn't become a duplicate. TAP ANY EXPENSE Expenses now open into a detail view with the full record, a map of where the purchase happened, and edit and delete right there. Purchase locations are captured automatically when you add an expense. BETTER INSIGHTS Tap a slice of the category donut to filter every chart below it to just that category, with a clear way back to everything. New top-merchants breakdown shows who you actually spend with. A CLEARER BUDGET CHART The monthly chart now shows each month's own budget as a backdrop bar behind your spending, with anything over budget called out in red — so you can see at a glance which months ran over, not just the current one. FIXES • Edited expenses now update immediately in lists instead of waiting for a scroll • Fixed a crash when viewing an expense that was deleted by another household member • Household sharing no longer fails when the share is actually fine
