About

CardWalleter puts your own card on an Apple Wallet pass. Photograph the front and back of a membership, loyalty, library, gym or insurance card, or pick two photos or a PDF. CardWalleter cuts the card out of the picture, straightens it, and reads the name, card type, numbers, dates and barcode on your iPhone, in Arabic and English. Check what was read, correct anything, and add the card to Apple Wallet. WHAT YOU GET • Your own card on the pass, not a template: the picture of your card with its key details beside it • Both sides kept: the back stays in the app, one tap from the pass • The barcode in its own format with the same characters. QR, PDF417, Aztec and Code 128 on every supported iPhone; EAN-13, Code 39, Codabar and ITF as themselves on iOS 27, and as Code 128 on iOS 26, where the app tells you so • A scanning screen: the barcode as large as the screen allows, on white at full brightness, with the number underneath • Cards without a barcode become picture passes with their details, and so do cards whose barcode Wallet cannot draw exactly (EAN-8, UPC-E, Code 93, Data Matrix) • Works on iOS 26 and later, on any iPhone that runs it, with nothing typed in • Optional places: near your gym or library, Wallet may offer the card on the lock screen • Cards stay saved in the app, so a pass can be made again at any time. Passes do not expire on their own PLAIN ABOUT THE LIMITS • A pass is a picture and a barcode. It cannot copy the chip in a tap card, key fob, door badge, hotel key or transit card • Bank and credit cards are not saved: a pass cannot pay. Use Apple Pay • Some scanners, mostly older laser ones, cannot read any phone screen. Keep the plastic card until your pass has scanned once • A pass is your personal copy. It is not an official document and does not replace the original where the original is required • Making a pass needs an internet connection for a moment, to sign it PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your photos and card details stay on your iPhone. To sign a pass, the app sends only checksums of the pass files, with Apple's App Attest proof that the request comes from the app. If you search for a place by name, the words you type go to Apple Maps; "Use where I am now" reads your location once and keeps it in the card. No account, no ads, no tracking. The app lock (Face ID, Touch ID or passcode) is on from the start and can be turned off. Free. No subscription, no in-app purchases.

What's New in CardWalleter

1.1.0

October 26, 2026

• Barcodes keep their own format: EAN-13, Code 39, Codabar and ITF appear on the pass as themselves on iOS 27. Library cards with Codabar now get their barcode. • The back of your card is one tap from the pass: open the pass details in Wallet and tap Open. • Pick a PDF, such as an insurer's letter: the card is cut out of the page. • Add places where Wallet may offer the card on the lock screen. • National IDs and licences are marked as a personal copy. Bank cards are refused. • The app lock is on from the start. • If the signing service cannot be reached, the app says so and your card stays saved.
