Fantastic For Creators

I have used this to test my own customs games. I have also scanned in games in to run automa decks for games like scythe and flame rouge. I even scanned in games like Friday to play exclusively on my iPad.

App is broken as of newest iPad OS

In years gone by, I would have rated this app about 3.75 stars. It was not always user friendly, but it was powerful and pretty stable. I have imported a lot of games into the app, and I used to use it regularly.

Under the latest Pad OS, I have found that some of the buttons in various parts of the app, the "Destroy" a card feature, for example, cause the program to crash outright. If I attempt to save a game, that also causes the program to crash.

If you play a game where you never need to destroy a card or save a setup, maybe this app will still work for you.

As it is, I keep finding various buttons and menu items that tank the app.

I am assuming that iPad OS has updated something that this software relies upon for many of its functions. If the developer does not update this software, I could not recommend it.

It may be possible that the next iPad OS will just iron this all out with no changes to the code. So, this is more of a "don't buy this now until it is functional again" sort of review.

If this gets resolved, then you should definitely feel good about purchasing this software.

Terrible UX

Can’t import multiple photos simultaneously, had to try importing 120 photos individually through a tedious multi-step process. Then making a deck was the same terrible experience, where the card images were too small to see and the scrolling UI gave no indication where you were in your card box. After that, the game table was too small to read the card faces. How is this supposed to be used? I’m on an iPad Pro 12.9, so it isn’t screen size.

Excelente

La idea es muy buena, pero es una lastima que en los ultimos años no se hayan incorporado mejoras. Ojala la compre mas gente y el desarrollador haga mejoras.

Fantastic

Superbly useful app for anyone wanting to design or play solo games, especially card but also others with some imagination.

Just one thing.... I find the card limit per screen of 100 cards a little restrictive... please increase this if you can.

Great app, but limited card pool size

I love this app for being able to play the Lord of the Rings LCG game that I own. The biggest downside to this app is the fact that each game box is only limited to 1000 cards. I know that sounds silly, but when you see how enormous the card pool is for LOTR, this size starts to look pretty small in comparison. If the size limit could be increased to say 5 or 10 thousand this would greatly help make this app a 5star rating in my book 🙂

Amazing app

Just played first game of solo Marvel Legendary.
Have custom playmat as table background which makes things really simple.

Have also got lotr lcg scanned in and have played several games.
This app is pretty amazing if a little clunky to get used to.
Having said that, once you've worked it out it's pretty straightforward

Great unique App

Trank you verry much for the 64-bit Support😁.

LCG Player

Great way to play LOTR LCG...takes awhile to get everything in but works great. Wish it was updated for the larger IPad and will need more card space soon due to number of cards.

Muy buena

Excelente app para tus juegos de cartas LCG. Organiza tus mazos, cuida tus cartas. Posibilidad de añadir tokens. Y lo mejor, jugar en tu ipad. Repito, excelente en calidad y precio. Saludos.

Great! But...

This app is great for making virtual card decks. If you are a hobby gamer it is a treasure.

However, now that I have tried to restore a back up I have discovered it doesn't work! This needs fixing ASAP. If I lose all my cards I'll weep!

Just wish you could play with two decks online

Incredible app

If you're willing to put in a little time to upload your favourite card / board game, this app is invaluable for mobile gaming.

Traveling with my LCGs...I love this app!

I frequently travel for business. I'm also a huge fan of LOTR:the card game LCG, and recently Baseball Highlights 2045. There's a bit of a learning curve for this app, and scanning in the cards is a little fiddlely, but it's worth it! Great design. The author of this app clearly is a CCG/LCG player too. I love the ability to use sliding trays, and the new function for creating tokens, and also the ability to load a custom table background. Now these games can travel with me anywhere. Thanks!

Great app

This is a great app, works perfect except every once in a while it will crash, that's why it's not 5 stars. I use it to take images of my Lord of the Rings the card game LCG cards and so far it's been a great companion to the physical game....Great Job!!!

Great functionality, wish the import was more solid.

This app gives all the features and functions you need to play/playtest most any card game.
Just as if you were at a table with the actual cards themselves.
My only beef is that the import requires you to add an extra "card" to store the card back image, which, if you need multiple styles of card back, can get annoying.
Over all, this is a valiant effort and I am very pleased.

Great App for playing LCGs

Really good app which I am using to play LCGs. There are some features which would make it even better :

1) ability to add and remove multiple tokens from multiple cards at once.

2) ability to clear / reset the table (work around is to save an empty game and load this every time)

3) the ability to select more than one card at once.

4) ability to mass import photos, rather than one at a time.

5) addition of landscape mode would be great.

Amazing!

Cannot recommend this enough! Took some work setting up but enjoying playing my LOTR LCG with a fantastic interface now!

Scan cards in, and manipulate them like on a table

Good app for what it does. Excels in solo play, and non-hidden cards.

Functionality for multiplayer: hiding cards in different drawers for multiple players, and network multiplayer functionality exist. But really those seem tacked on. e.g. when playing a deck builder (e.g. Dominion), the 2nd player can’t do much while the first player is moving. Therefore slowing the game of Dominion down a lot.

Tried games like Onirim, and Friday (solo games), and they worked magnificently. The base set of King of Tokyo cards (not expansion) work well too.

Application is strictly a card importer and manipulator. No AI to speak of. In its primary function, it lacks fit-and-finish. Layout is utilitarian. Easy to make mistakes when importing decks. Interface is garish. Still, features work; app doesn’t crash. Developer has commendably added features to app, but there’s no sign of interface polish. So that is probably not happening.

I’m pleased, overall. Priced right. Boardgamegeek has geeklists and forum posts about games that can be made to work in app.

Labor of love (on part of the player)

Great app for playing card games. For big games (such as LCGs), the value you get depends very much on the amount of effort you are willing to invest importing / organizing your cards. If you take the time to import them in a logical / grouped order, it will be much easier to build decks than if you just start scanning in cards. This review is based on using the app to play a LCG with > 500 imported individual cards, which is very doable and the end result is awesome.

Technically, I have only seen one minor bug in this version (token under a tray gets moved when dragging a card on top of the tray), which is outstanding. I find the card gameplay UI to be intuitive and it provides all the tools I need / expect.

There is a lot of room for improvement in the importing / deck building portion of the app, however. Right now there is no way to copy portions of your card collection (it is all or nothing), and no way to delete individual cards (they can only be replaced). There is no way to insert cards in the middle of your box, new cards must go at the end (so you must plan ahead to leave gaps in your collection for new expansions). When deck building, there is no way to filter or sort your card collection, so you will need to know yourself where that single card is (among up to 1000) when you want to add it to your deck (and you must scroll through your collection 12 cards at a time to find it). It would be wonderful to see some sort of simple metadata we could manually add to our cards and use to search and sort (e.g. I would add card number and type at minimum). These kinds of useability improvements would make a great app simply EPIC and I am crossing my fingers that the developer is not finished improving it yet.
