About

CareView Family is a companion application designed for families to open and read pediatric visit records created with CareFlow Kids, the doctor's app. The app allows families to access medical information stored in a portable .pemr bundle (Portable Electronic Medical Record). The patient record is stored inside a portable .pemr bundle, which travels between CareFlow Kids and CareView Family rather than remaining tied to a permanent central database. Main features • Open .pemr bundles produced by CareFlow Kids and shared by your doctor • View sick visit and well visit reports, and share or print them when needed • View growth charts and recorded measurements • Access documents attached to the patient bundle and add new ones • Add parent notes • Export the updated bundle back to the clinician CareView Family does not create medical records independently. It is designed to read and interact with records produced by CareFlow Kids. Portable patient record workflow: CareFlow Kids and CareView Family are designed to work together through a portable patient bundle. Typical workflow: 1. The clinician exports a .pemr bundle from CareFlow Kids 2. The family opens the bundle in CareView Family 3. Families can review visit reports, growth charts, and documents 4. Families may add notes or documents 5. The updated bundle can be returned to the clinician This workflow allows the patient record to remain portable and cumulative over time, without requiring a permanent shared cloud account. Privacy-oriented design CareView Family follows a local-first design: • Medical data is stored locally inside the .pemr bundle • No cloud account is required • Families control when and how the bundle is shared Users remain responsible for storing and sharing the bundle appropriately.
