No room to change location
I’m travelling to Paris and will be staying there for a month and wanted to have access to the Paris section, although I selected Melbourne as my primary residence. I now unfortunately cannot access anything on the app.

This is the best app by far to meet interesting people ! So many good events, good vibes. And the app is very practical. All the organization and the contacts can be done on here, you just have to be guided by your envies, a dinner in a fantastic place with 25 people for example !

Great community, frustrating app experience
Carom has an awesome community, especially in Paris, with tons of events happening every day, great for expats! The event management and incentives are solid, making it a fun place to connect. But the app itself? Pretty frustrating. The UI feels clunky, and navigating it is a hassle, especially on big phones. No swipe-to-go-back? Seriously? We’ve been using that gesture for years! Instead, you’re stuck tapping a tiny “<” button, which is a pain for one-handed use. Hope they fix this soon because the community deserves a much better app!

I’ve attended multiple Carom events - have met great people and have attended so many wonderful events, from the ballet and opera gala, to a shared Thanksgiving feast, to jazz at a Soho House. Interesting conversations and great fun.

Carom, the best social app
Carom is not only a place to meet new and interesting international people but also to get access to unique and exclusive events such as ballet rehearsals, music concerts.. I really enjoyed the diversity of events organized throughout the last year.. this also pushed me to become an ambassador for 8 months and promote this amazing app.
This is not only for new comers to a big city but also for locals like me (am Parisian).. it is an opportunity to continuously expand your network and cherish nice moments with like minded people.

Excellent opportunity to meet interesting people
I am quite new to Paris, and finding friends in your 30s is not that easy. Thanks to Carom, I have met many interesting people and discovered new places and activities. Everyone I’ve met so far is educated, friendly, and international. And the app is very well designed with plenty of useful features.

Went to one event so fir and was pleasantly surprised. I love the fact that users are vetted and that you can meet really interesting people and have good conversations.
Great social app, especially if you are new to your city!
This app is such a great concept and a lovely way to meet new friends in your city. As a native New Yorker, it’s a fun way for me to do more things that I want to do around the city if my current friends are unavailable or not interested, but I’ve met so many people who just recently moved to the city and it has been a great assist for them. I highly recommend it, especially for anyone who moved to the city recently because it’s a great way to make new friends, to learn your way around the city, and learn the best places to go for dinner, drinks, brunch, fun activities, sports -you name it!

I’ve used Carom in both Paris and NYC. It’s a great way to experience a new city and attend unique events. I got to go on a private tour of a NYC art gallery which was amazing. A lot of the restaurants and bars that are on there are hidden gems I wouldn’t have known about on my own. And best of all, the people I’ve met through the app have all been really friendly, fun, and genuine people. Looking forward to when it expands to more cities!
