They don’t have enough Men
Carpe DM has not been a good experience so far. After paying thousands of dollars to receive 6 matches, I have only had one match. The match was wonky & did not match with me, yet it counted against me. The match said they been using the service for two years & only saw 1 person on a date. Other matchmakers guide you both to set up an in person date. I do not receive much feedback and regret using the service. I can’t recommend this service at all. It is worth $600 not anymore than that.

So far So Good
I hate matching with 40+ people on Hinge or other platforms and having to filter through them myself and plan multiple dates—all while managing an extremely busy life. CarpeDM came through.
I read other reviews before joining, and yes, it is a tailored experience, so it takes time to find someone who truly matches you. I had a great onboarding process and told my matchmaker I only wanted 1 or 2 matches at a time—and they stuck to that.
After one month, I had two matches. Both felt like perfect fits. The only downside? They lived about two hours away. But honestly, I didn’t mind—it gave me more time to get to know them at a deeper level.
Overall, I highly recommend this service if you’re serious about finding your person and have the patience to understand that this isn’t Tinder or Hinge where you get 30 matches in a day. It’s intentional. It’s curated. It works.

CarpeDM Review – Disappointing and Overpriced
I signed up for CarpeDM in February 2024, hoping for a premium dating experience. Unfortunately, after a year, I’ve only received 5 out of the 12 promised matches. For the high cost, I expected better transparency and delivery, but it quickly became clear that the male pool is not large enough to support the number of women subscribing. Instead of being upfront about this, they continue to take payments while failing to meet their own match minimums.
I requested a refund twice last year due to the lack of matches, but both times I was denied. Their solution? Extending my membership indefinitely until they can meet the required number of matches. However, of the 5 matches I did receive, only 3 were actual matches based on my preferences. It felt like they were just assigning men at random to fill quotas rather than providing quality connections.
To make matters worse, I was even told that men in their late 30s to early 40s in the DMV area don’t want to date a woman with a child. If that’s the case, why take my money knowing they couldn’t match me? This experience has been incredibly disappointing. While the concept has potential, the execution falls short due to their lack of a balanced database.
At this point, I feel trapped in a “death row” contract—paying for a service that hasn’t delivered what was promised. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend CarpeDM and would advise others to proceed with caution before committing.

Not true matchmaking
I joined for the 6 month membership with 4 matches, and 3 out of 4 matches wanted children when I was clear with my match maker that I didn’t. I gave them a height preference, that wasn’t met. I gave a weight preference, that wasn’t met. After the first match they stopped trying and paired me with anyone in the community which has extremely more women than men. Not worth your time.

Terrible Matchmaking service
After my first match I immediately asked for my money back. I could go through all the details but long story short, I would never in million years recommend any woman pay for this service -- unless you are just desperate to find someone. I met better quality men on my own irl and on Hinge.
