Glad this app is an option… sure beats having to listen to Ben running his biased mouth off topic all the time just to get the relevant information. I can monitor “the situation” myself and receive updates. Thanks Carrington!
Been Using This App For Years
Just recently getting use to the new updates and it not only looks good but works good as well. More educational information has been added with more charts and prices for additional data still is very low in prices per year then I would have expected. I think this is the best version on this app then the previous versions combined. Had it since Ben first released it so keep up the great work! For those looking to download I can tell you I have tried other apps before and this is the best one out there.

Not sure what is happening
This app is really acting weird and crashing my phone and I can’t even select “upgrade” as suggested … it’s really forced or something, it my phone still compliant it’s crashing as soon as it tries to load … totally useless app for iPhone SE?
App page has no upgrade tab, it only offers me to open it.
I could delete the app and redownload but I’m not sure if I need to etc.
Sorry to complain but it’s literally more than useless on my phone it literally crashes it… I’m not looking to damage my iPhone.

When will it work?
I’m inquiring about when the Carrington alerts will be back. It’s been a number of weeks with no access to them, no notifications, and just a notice updates are coming. I just get a blank white screen when accessing that option. Turned them off then on per instructions with no change. Not sure we’re interested renewingr the app at this point. Thanks in advance for your response and information

Junk App. Unresponsive support.
I used to enjoy using this app. However, after writing them indicating that the main splash screen has been the same one that has been for several months. There was no response from support. Make sure you make the right session before paying for this app. It says it has huge updates ahead. But that’s being posted for a while. I’ve been paying for this app. Getting very disappointed and its functionality. Choose your purchase wisely.

I'm reviewing this app following the latest update after the new service provider took over. I find that, while it looks flash, it's not so easy to find your way around now. The graphs are displayed separately where once they were together. My main complaint is that there is little to no detail about the health effects of solar and cosmic activity - I used to find that particularly useful. I doubt I'll be renewing my subscription (especially since it used to be free for me and is now no longer!).

I can no longer see the Kp Index and Solar Wind charts. I emailed support about this many weeks ago and got ........ tumbleweed! Not impressed.

App is Non Functional
It worked fine until just recently when notifications went off the rails and app says major updates coming but it never came. No communication and can’t contact them either. Very disappointing and frustrating!
Need iOS 26 Update ASAP
Need app update real soon - Jan 17-20 2026 coming up. SDO & GOES X-Ray stopped popping up. Also, my alert messages feed is stuck in Dec 2025. If you have to, let Claude AI or Google do the SWIfT rewrite. Thank you!

I have my yearly sub renewal coming soon but I think I’m going to cancel. Which is unfortunate because I really liked this app and the info it provided but it’s gone off the rails and nobody will respond to inquiries on X etc. An update would be appreciated even if it’s been abandoned. Thanks.
Why so many bugs lately?
I used to love this app but recently the alert feature has gone wild. It sends me so many alerts that I have had to delete the app twice. I sent queries to contact@carrington 3x with zero response ever.
Driving me nuts
This app used to be so reliable but lately it will drive you crazy with a few hundred if not though notifications of earthquakes. It need some major updates or something
App is now non-functional
I have the paid version of the app and it was great until the last four months. I receive notifications of alerts, but the alerts screen is always blank so you have no idea what the alert is for. I've tried contacting them through the app and get no response. Don't spend your money on this.
Still disappointing (was: What just happened?!)
UPDATE 2025-12: Although the app had improved slightly since the original review (below), it has significantly decreased in terms of reliability. Alerts sometimes appear in droves and have to be turned off to avoid uselessness. Earthquake listings no longer show magnitude, but have some sort of unexplained color coding. Tsunami warnings no longer appear. Many settings are still not documented. And the UX is still terrible. Very sad to see what was once a great, supported app turn into such flaming rubbish.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: With the revision of the app in January 2023, it's like the app was taken over by a 7th grader. Not only did it change completely with absolutely no explanation, including some new poorly written sign-in page, but key information, like the map showing the location of each quake, is now gone. The color choices make thing near illegible (orange and red on turquoise?!), the new waffle menu is poorly written and organized (settings are under "Admin"?!), and there are highly irritating and distracting animations that cannot seem to be turned off. Within minutes of opening the new dashboard, several errors appeared, including a traceback preceded by a message that "this VM is violating DART standards by providing a traceback"). Honestly, as a Kickstarter backer ("founder") of the original app, I find this new revision to be incredibly disappointing, to put it in the best possible light. Whiskey tango actual foxtrot.

There is no correlation with solar activities and earthquakes. But the app is interesting.
Was a great app
Currently experiencing unresolved issues with this app with a paid subscription. Sends alerts to your phone but alerts and events are no longer available for view within the app menus? No response from developers

You can also up some dopamine via pings if needed with quake magnitude notification settings.
