Big improvement
After selling a car in January, when I received numerous enquiries from disingenuous “buyers”, including chatbots, my experience selling another car in July/August was completely different. This time, I received only genuine enquiries and then used the site’s payment system, which could not have been easier. A great improvement to the whole selling process. Ai search sucks
Can you please bring back the category search the ai search sucks so bad. You ask for a Mercedes s class from the early 2000s and it brings up opel, commodore and falcons from 2015….. then it just argues with you that the only v8 is a ford….

Great experience overall
I had a great overall experience selling my car through CarSales. The platform was easy to use, and creating, editing and managing my advertisement was very straightforward.
The main challenge was the number of low offers and non-serious buyers. I received 20+ enquiries, but only around three buyers were genuinely serious about purchasing the vehicle. There were also quite a few dealers and buyers making offers well below the advertised price, which made the process a little frustrating and meant I had to be patient to find the right buyer.
That said, I was eventually able to sell my car at the price I wanted, and the final transaction was extremely easy. The payment process, handover and overall completion of the sale were smooth, secure and straightforward.
Overall, I really enjoyed using CarSales and would definitely consider using the platform again. The selling process itself was easy — the biggest challenge was simply filtering through the non-serious enquiries and very low offers.

Carsales is a good safe platform for buyers and sellers. The messaging inbox is bit clunky, slow.
The AI search is a waste… tried it and found dumb.

I received scammers, tyre kickers and a lot of car brokers/dealers constantly working me down to trade in prices which wasn’t the reason for me selling on car sales if I wanted that I would have just traded it in at a car dealer and saved myself the listing price of this. Worst experience ever. Very disappointed.
