Best offline vector map app
This is the way to use offline vector maps like OpenAndroMaps on iOS - brilliant app and very responsive developer
Never Get Lost
I’ve used Cartograph for 9 years. Back then, it was the only app that could work well offline using free, downloaded maps of the world.
I bought the latest, lifetime version without a second thought. I use it so heavily that the price wasn’t relevant.
When I plucked up courage to migrate all my data to this new version, I was delighted to find many new features keeping it up with, or ahead of, the competition.
My choice, of the many possible options, is to use free, worldwide “OpenAndroMaps” enhanced by the free “Tiramisu” style (I’m slightly colourblind.)
I use it for:
Hiking to a mountain summit or finding and following a route to the nearest toilet in a city or an urban park.
Recording a route, which I’m walking or cycling, to share or just to find my way back.
Navigating in a mist or whiteout.
Getting myself out of the mess that my motorhome's SatNav just got me into.
I’m not “into” the technical side of mapping systems but find Carto3 easy to use and customise. Experts will probably appreciate some features that I happily ignore!

Beste Wander App
Als ich vor ein paar Jahren zum iPhone wechselte suchte ich (etwas verzweifelt) eine brauchbare Alternative zu Locus Maps. Mit dieser App habe ich sie gefunden 😊👍🏻 wenn man sich reingefuchst hat ist die App sehr gut!
Riesengroßes Plus ist die Kommunikation mit dem Entwickler, der immer schnell antwortet und bei Problemen und Fragen aller Art jederzeit hilft. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und sage Danke!

Mostly works
I found recently that the compass becomes completely random. This is repeatable. It seems to occur if the device decides the compass is being recalibrated. So when hiking with the device in your pocket the compass becomes useless, requiring a restart of the app. The device compass is just fine. It’s just the as app.

Not for navigation
I ploted a route then i tried to navigate but the app crashes every time i press ✅

原始的路径规划比OSMAND还强大，能做到跨国路径规划。收费选项只是额外的锦上添花。
提几个建议：
1. 增加Pro版本免费试用，现在只能用相对高的价格直接月订制，这可能会损失一部分用户；
2. 目前基本图的流畅度和清晰度比起其他地图要差一点，建议改善；
3. 建议增加简体中文。

I have to write something since this great app has only one review. This app is my choice for hiking use. Being able to use OpenAndroMaps (trails, roads, topo) is perfect. I haven’t found another iOS app this capable for using free vector maps. It deserves more attention (it gets more on Android). Thanks for making this available.

Für Outdooraktivitäten die beste App
Top App, für mich die einzige Locus Alternative. Man muss sich etwas einarbeiten aber dann ist der Funktionsumfang grandios. Einzig das UI ist nicht super schön was zum einen subjektiv ist und zum anderen zweitrangig.
Großer Pluspunkt: der Entwickler antwortet auf (An)fragen extrem schnell und die entwickelt die App kontinuierlich

I haven’t found another iOS app this capable for using free vector maps. It deserves more attention (it gets more on Android). Thanks for making this available.

Excellent mapping app
This app is an excellent companion to the MacOS version. Extremely feature rich and intuitive to use if you put in a little effort to learn how to use it. The developer is quick to respond if you have problems. The selection of available maps is very good and has many options. I use it mainly for map pins and have hundreds of pins saved. The ability to purchase the app outright is much appreciated as is the Data Not Collected. Well worth the money.

Impossible to work with
Not sure what happened with the new version of CM, but user experience decreased a lot with v3. Previous versions were intuitive, but v3 has a steep learning curve.
From visualization and performance, CM 3 is doing great but lacking on usability.

Awesome value
The app is a like rough around the edges with some UX love needed. But the developer is responsive and will answer questions. He put in a custom feature for me when I needed it. I don’t know if any other app where you can download topo maps for so cheap.

买了pro版后，居然搜索地名都需要再付搜索费，实在太坑人了，不知后续还有什么坑呢。

The app offers free offline route search using BRouter and online route search using OSRM. Google and Microsoft route search are not free because they charge a fee for each search query.

Ich habe eine Alternative zu Locus Maps gesucht und in dieser App gefunden. Offline Karten die für mich zum wandern unerlässlich sind!

Absolut empfehlenswert
Ich kenne den Cartograph 2 und freue mich dass weiterhin die Offlinekarten vom OpenAndroMaps genutzt werden können. Es wurden viele Verbesserungen die das Handling betreffen eingeführt. Sehr sinnvoll und macht den Umgang leichter.
Dieses Feature (Offlinekarten) stellt für diese App ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal da. Das ist der wichtigste Punkt überhaupt. Sie sind unabhängig von jeglichem Onlineanbieter. Können sich die detailgenauen Karten von OpenAndroMaps laden. Die Tracks auf dem Handy verwalten (Importieren & Exportieren)
Jeder der nur irgendwie gerne Aktivitäten im Freien macht, sei es Wandern, Radfahren oder Städtetouren kommt an dieser App nicht vorbei.
Vielen Dank an den Entwickler für wirklich gute Arbeit.

Why do i have to pay a fee??(credit)

The credits are used for paid external services which charge me a fee per request. You do not need credits for using the app but only when using these external services.
