Crashes constantly
Carve is a great magazine and I’d prefer to get digital copies, specially as a paper copy is now £9.
I downloaded the app and went to buy the latest copy.. and it crashed. Opened again, crashed instantly. And again…..lasted about a minute as I looked at the preview, then…. Well you guessed it.
I’d love to support the magazine but I’m afraid the app is useless to me. I hope they can fix it.

Good Editing and Articles
I have been a subscriber of serving magazines for the last 15 years. It's suffice to say that I have maintained my subscription with CARVE magazine because by my experience it's well edited and has always got interesting articles. I love the fact that it has links to movies in certain articles. I have not maintained my subscription to the other magazines because I think they are just too commercial. If you want to subscribe to a Surfing Magazine I recommend you try CARVE first.

Carve magazine
I bought the Carve magazine . Worked okay initially but then stopped working on my iPad4. Something is wrong with the Link with Carve as per the other review. Avoid this magazine until it's sorted!
Paid for nothing!!
I had been reading Carve happily on my iPad2. BUT when I replaced that with a 4th Gen iPad, Carve no longer recognises my subscription! I have emailed them and as requested, sent them my iTunes receipt but they have since not responded back to me! Even though I have repeatedly contacted them. So the result is, I have paid in full for a subscription which I now can't access jack! Avoid Carve! Now having to result to contacting iTunes directly to get my money back.

This app dose not load and I wasted 3 dollars on this useless app!
Doesn't even work
So I pay $2.99 for an app that should be free but I get my choice of an issue. So I shrug it off and say "what the heck, not a big deal". Takes a horrendous amount of time to download the "free" issue and once it finally does when I try to view it all I get is a blank screen. The app isn't frozen, I can tap the screen and bring up the navigation controls, but when I tape the table of contents section it says there is no content found. I can return to the home screen and purchase more issues and even go to my library where it says I have one issue downloaded on my device but again each time I open it....nothing, just a black void.

Can't subscribe?
Good app, but why do I get a 'Purchase Error' message whenever I try to subscribe? And yes, I've tried reinstalling the app...
Does what it says on the tin...
Early version bugs been fixed nicely so no random crashes anymore. Works smoothly and looks stunning on me iPad.
Vid links add depth to the mag well, if you can't get hold of the mag (like I can't cos I'm working abroad) it's perfick!!! ;)

Long awaited but excellent update
Love Carve and was disappoined initially with this app earlier this year. Its suddenly had a load more issues, subscriptions and interactive stuff added and seems far more stable, so all in all a great mag and finally with a great update!
Great mag and content but crap app
Same great content as the mag but the app is not good at all. The page turning is horrible, the app crashes and does not update for the most recent issue. Avoid!

I would rate this 4-5 stars if I could actually read the magazine. Every time I try to change the page the app closes, very frustrating. I would NOT recommend buying a subscription until they post an update fixing this issue.

As a long time surfer, Carve being a monthly purchase alongside The Surfers Path, now I can get them both on my iPad.
Not sure what the other reviewers were saying but think it's a great app and has a really cool feel about it. It's a quality magazine but now gone all electronic and it works, for sure.
Like Surfers Path, it's nice to have stored and not have my lady moan about my surfing paraphernalia lying around, still have my not so sweet smelling wetsuit around though!!!

Not good
Bought this thinking it would give more details than the mags, as I already subscribe to the mag there is no point as all it does is allows you to buy it and download to the iPad, pretty crap really mag is expensive enough without buying it twice.
Seen better, seen much worse!
