Best App Ever

Love this app, the only app you ever need to see your finance future. There are not a lot of apps out there that can show daily projected cash balances you can really see how our account grows daily, weekly, monthly and even into the yearly with this app. It let us know when we can pay down balances on credit cards and put extra money into our savings/investments accounts

App keeps crashing

I used to love this app ever since my iPhone has been updated to the 18 when I try to open it it crashes. I have emailed support three times now with no response as to if this is going to be taken care of updated fixed anything it is very frustrating because I just purchased a year subscription in August and I can’t use it now. If someone can please help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Response from developer

Cashflowy has been succeeded by a new app, Runrate. Runrate offers the same goal as Cashflowy—providing a quick glance at your short-term finances—but with enhanced features and improved performance. Search for Runrate in the App Store to get started. Note: Cashflowy remains functional on iOS 17 and earlier, iPadOS 17 and earlier, and macOS Sonoma and earlier. For any questions, email support@myrunrate.com

Invaluable!

I've been using this app for the better part of five years and am so sorry to hear it won't be supported by iOS 18. I hope something comes along that's just as good. Thanks for creating it! It's been perfect

Finally

I have looked for years for an app like this. I have been using a projection spread sheet until now. I have one page for checking and one page for savings. The only thing lacking for me is a page that shows the total combined income between the two. Crossing my fingers the developer will add that. Also I wish there as an undo button. I just deleted something by accident and I don’t know what.😭

I think this is a wonderful tool everyone should use

Not a perfect app and some small improvements could make this a powerful tool many would use, but I have no complains and very happy with it.
Love the way I can see a projected value of the account as expenses hit throughout the month. Can rapidly add any unaccounted expenses. I’m very happy with it.

Love this app!

Gave 5 stars because I have been looking for a simple way to budget for future expenses and this app does just that. Once all of my expenses and income are in there, I can play around with it to see where I can safely spend now without being in the red 3 months down the road. Only one suggestion I could make is a daily recurring expense to be added.

Great simple app, needs a bit more though

Love this app. But I wish it had a bit more features. The thing that drives me crazy the most is the lack of being able to define an end time for your transactions. For example, if you can save $50 a month for the next 6 months, but increase to $100 after that….the only way to do this is wait till the 6 months have passed, delete the trajectory, then start a new one. Otherwise it defaults to $50 until the end of time. So you can’t really see an accurate status a year into the future unless you have multiple reoccurring payments set up, but even then you have to go back and delete those or else your future projections are too high.

A visual chart would be nice also. Some sort of way to see all your accounts’ progress at once instead of having to swipe and look at each individually.

Great straightforward short-term financial planning app

This app is very thoughtfully designed with just the right features for short-term financial planning.

No invasive sync with my financial institutions via Plaid/etc is needed because the simple interface let’s me easily add recurring transactions for all my predictable expenses like rent/utilities bills and add the amount due on all my credit card bills when the statement balance becomes available, then I can quickly adjust my bank account balance to match reality with one step whenever I need to (without worrying about catching up the ledger on each missing transaction).

App no longer supported

The app hasn’t been updated in years and no longer allows you to log in or save your data. Even though it will let you enter in data, eventually you will open the app and everything will be erased. Please update, I depend on this app!

App stopped working

Not a good April fools joke :/

Cool, but some changes would be better

I’ll come back and update as I use it, but I just started using it and plugging in my info today and here’s what I am finding so far …

- Please add “bi-weekly” as an option for recurring … I had to do weekly and delete the extras out for a year for my husbands income, and I’ll have to remember to continue it once those have passed unless you add this option

Randomly deletes your data

Good functionality but I opened the app this morning and all my data was gone. Nice one, Brian.

Too small letter and grey color chard to read.

Give us some choices to choose bold letter or size. I used Cash Flow app for 20 years for purchased $0.99. When I got iPhone 13 Pro Max, App Store says there is no longer can find that app. So I purchased this one is way more money every month I have to pay so much money unless option colors are all pastel like, hard to see and recognize thing quickly. Not too bad but since you’re charging monthly you can serve better app than this.

One of a kind

This app is perfect! I made my own spreadsheet that was a pain in the butt to do what this app does automatically.

My only wish is
A. For you to be able to set things twice monthly on certain days
B. To be able to end occurrences so that reoccurring charges can have an end date.

Otherwise 10/10 and I’ve found no other app that offers what this one does especially in such simplicity.

An Annual Subscription

After reviewing the app, I don’t see how there could be a yearly subscription at the price is asking for...when the last update was 2 years ago. I love the balance projection on the calendar, but that’s it.. there is nothing more that makes this app unique, to feel okay to pay a yearly subscription or monthly.

Clean design but unusable calendar

Let’s be clear. It’s a modern interface. But listing expenses and income isn’t rocket science - there are a TON of apps that do this for free.

What I need, and have found in only 1 other app , is a clean and logical calendar view of cash flow, because sorting through a list is something from the Flintstone age. I had high hopes for Cashflowy.

That said, the calendar isn’t useful at all. It’s a piece of pretty static art. What’s the purpose of a calendar displaying an ending balance that has changed if I can’t click the day to see the detail of activity?

Simple, Easy, App to solve everyday problem!

I have been looking for a simple app like this for years that would estimate my cash flow out. This App has already saved my countless estimating hours this planning season alone. I Do books for my husbands small side business, manage our personal finances and grew up in small business so I know the importance of cash flow and being able to quickly, easily and accurately understand your position, react if needed or communicate to someone else if you are not responsible for the outcome. I purchased the full year to support the developer because ANYONE who wants to get a handle on cash flow needs this app.

A Few Needed Features

This app is pretty cool. There are not a lot of apps out there that can show daily projected cash balances. I went searching, there are only a few that can do it, and this is one of the best. A few suggestions for future improvements that would make this app exceptional: graphical display of cash balance through time, ability to automatically sync bank account activity, a separate input page that showed all input/projected data with its associated attributes (amount, recurring frequency, dates, etc.), and ability to add an end by date on recurring frequency transactions.

I really enjoy it

I’ve used some other apps that help keep track of my projected account balance because it’s so handy to know how much you can spend looking ahead and not relying on your memory or estimations. This app is unique from others that I’ve used in that I can make the transactions recurring which is so handy so I’m not inputting them over and over for each month. I like being able to mark them as pending so it reflects exactly what my bank account is showing. Yes, it seems a little redundant but we really enjoy seeing how our account grows daily, weekly, monthly and even into the yearly with this app. It lets us know when we can pay down balances on credit cards and put extra money into savings.

One of the few things that would be nice is the ability to set expenses or incomes as “twice monthly” and be able to pick those days (15th and either 30th/31st for those on a salary schedule) as I am only able to enter my spouse’s biweekly income on a recurring schedule. A feature that allowed your different cash flow accounts to “talk” to each other so if one is your savings, you can easily mark it as going into savings and it’ll automatically “move” the money. Having the access to allow another user on the account, like a spouse or significant other, that can enter in transactions would be helpful too.

Overall, I love this app. Slightly addicted to looking at our projected balances and knowing what and when we can spend money.

Hello?

I have emailed Cashflowy twice with a question and failed to receive a response. It doesn’t fill me with much confidence if I choose to upgrade to the full version.
