Meh

Probably unfortunate that this is my introduction to the series.

First off, I really like the artstyle, it’s really beautiful, but that’s the only positive I could give.
In terms of the negative, I don’t like the controls, when moving the player character in a certain way it puts them in a crouch, not only that it also messes up and goes backwards when you’re trying to move your character forward. While Gacha games are not all that bad, as sometimes it could be good for a game dev team to have a flowing income when they’re struggling, I still feel that a game like this, especially something that has been around for a while, shouldn’t be a Gacha, I feel like it should stay as it was previously, then again, I’ve never played the other Castlevania game, although I will after this.

Overall, it’s ok? Ig, fix your controls or whatever, idk I hate how it feels like all those other average gacha games, just a weird feeling I don’t like

It’s not a true RPG

First of all: IF YOU’RE STRUGGLING WITH DEATH, when he throws his scythe at you, you’re expected to hit it not once, or twice, but 5, FIVE, f-eye-ve times. Easiest way is Maria, but slide works better for everyone else. And that mechanic costs the game a star because NO OTHER BOSS has no stupid puzzle mechanic tied to beating them AND you can’t destroy other bosses projectiles, just death. Now then, FIRST my main gripe is that this isn’t a true role playing game; yes you accrue experience and enhance weapons with xp items, however the amount of experience through stages is a pittance of what is needed for player rank (which controls level cap for weapons) and characters. SECOND leveling up you characters only raises they hp by a small amount, every other stat is controlled by equipment, and so you can’t get decent health ever as it only maxes out around 20,000… more if you waste it on HP raising equipment at the cost of ATK, making you ineffectual end game. THIRD that dinky amount of HP you accrue is pretty meaningless when enemies attacking you takes away 13% of your HP every hit, which means you will die at seven hits from enemies end game. 7 hits when you’re level 99 with armor. A handle of weapons can heal but… FOURTH it’s a gacha (gotcha) system for most equipment for the first part of armor leveling (+4), then you need a special item that can only be bought by breaking down enemy souls, most give 1 or 5 buying credit (souls have a chance to drop) and you need 2,500 soul credits for the item to upgrade equipment past rank 4, and higher levels require more with 12 being the last amount (36 total are needed [maybe one or two more]). 90,000 credits to max level ONE piece of equipment, a big, huge, gigantic investment of time, all so you can do enough damage to get through a level because DEF doesn’t do much damage reduction (does it ever?!). IN CONCLUSION you can’t grind levels to compensate for a lack of skill, or to make the game a breeze. You’re stunted to whatever items you get from a gacha system that ultimately can be frustrating when the equipment you have isn’t matching the level’s element. PS the element system isn’t one of using an opposing element to get an advantage (light against dark, fire against ice), it’s using the stage’s element by your characters, otherwise you’re doing less damage with any other element. And the element stat doesn’t seem to increase damage by any significant amount… ATK stat is the only stat that matters. Unless you like poking an enemy 20 or more times (17,000 ATK = low triple digits damage).
This game is kinda fun but it’s not enjoyable late and end game. Like a gacha game. Gems are only for gacha and ONE other game mechanic. You can’t increase important significant things that would make things faster/easier i.e. less tedious/obnoxious. Time is not valued by this game.

Bloated, but fun

Like the actual gameplay but I feel like this game is flooded with too many resources sub menus and things to upgrade. It’s a simple concept, but somehow they over
Complicated it. I just want to plan and not spend half my time equipping things with confusing resources.

Pretty damn good, all things considered.

Gameplay and atmosphere feels like Castlevania, character interactions are fun and interesting, gameplay is good and Simon is awesome to see interact with the other characters. However, it’s very grindy and the buttons sometimes feel a bit too small, but there’s probably a setting for that.

Crashing

Really fun game but keeps crashing.

I thoroughly enjoy this game

I’m not a serious gamer. I have an Apple TV 4K HDR (3rd gen). I decided to give this a whirl — love it!! It took a but to get into. There’s a lot of capabilities that you unlock as you play. It’s awesome. Helps take my mind off things!

Dissapointing

Was hoping for some simple arcade gameplay - Overly complex and too many cut scenes

TRY IT NOOOOOOOW

ITS OUTSTANDING THE MUSIC ABSOLUTE HOMERUN THE GRAPHICS ABSOLUTE HOMERUN THE STORY THE HOMERUN-IST OF THEM ALL / AND TO THE DEVS THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY LIFE BETTER THIS IS THE GAME FOR ME THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR WONDERFUL GAME

Unfortunately disappointing

The game crashes during cutscenes so I have no idea what the intro was about and the controls are awkward at best it’s a dam shame because when I saw this I was excited to see what the story for this castlevania game would be some fixes and a tweak to the controls and this would be far better

download

why is it so difficult to install

Game is good but…

I’ve finished 93% of the game… I was led to a more difficult stage but now the game is not loading. Where do I send ticket for bugs? Please fix it, I’d love to go back to my game.

Meh

This game could be much better if not for the heavy grinding, also game lags constantly! Many times I’m mid jump and get a lag spike making mid air actions almost impossible! Also lags when too many enemies are on screen!
